We have a Javelin. It's good but a bit heavy to use constantly. We tend to use it for jobs where long panels have to fit together nicely. Yes it helps to run it on a cutting mat.

Nope. Even without media loaded those parameters are locked off until a job is printing.

I have that firmware and you can only modify the interpass delay when printing, not set as a default. If you can tell me how to do it I'd appreciate it.

Onyx works fine for me. I think all the functionality just confuses the simple minded.

The temp sensor is on the right so you can get uneven drying sometimes. Just bump the heat up a bit. You can't change the default inter pass delay on these due to the firmware although you can change it per job while it is printing.

It's the media. Try something else. Numerous threads on here about this issue.

Something a little different. The client is a digital video hire place and this is one of their test patterns. They supplied art. Everyone was happy. It all lined up pretty well. I used an air release polymeric.

They usually change the name of their products which makes it hard to shop around.

You won't be able to match really hot orange and green plastic pigments. The best you can do is try some of the profiles that ship with onyx and try various settings. Try spot colours using the colour table & not, turning icc profiles on & off, stuff like that.

And how much does all this wonderful help cost you?

Use the 26500 to print posters on cheap paper & the 360 for everything else.

Well if your profiles are set up the same in PS as your design app then mostly. Any spot vector colours won't be in the tif though.

Open in Photoshop and save as tif. Job done.
