I ran a virus scan.
I paid Adobe for the software fair and square. I'm not a fan of this subscription software idea. I would have paid $960 so far for CS if it had been subscription. Some deal.

Wow. I love this place! Thanks Guys. I'll see how it goes.
Adobe never ceases to amaze me.
Will I be able to save this download somehow to install it on a new computer someday? (once Adobe tires of supplying it on their site?)

Can anyone give me a supplier for metal look acrylic sheet that I can laser cut into letters? Preferably in Canada. I have a customer asking for this and I don't know who carries it. Or can I just stick metallic film to acrylic and cut it out?

I made some changes to my computer and Photoshop wants to be re-activated. Problem is Adobe no longer has a way to activate it. Can anyone help me? I can no longer use the Photoshop software that I paid for in good faith.

Yes I did Pat. 6 bucks a yard is a lot cheaper than the 18+ I pay for KIWA from TCT. That's a good thought on calling Avery about it. I need it for truck doors. They trade the trucks after 5 years so it has to hold up for 5 years on a long haul truck that sees Canadian winters and US summers...
Does it stay stuck? Does it fall off or go funny? I need it to perform for 5 years on the side of a Freightliner. I'm asking because it's 1/3rd the cost of what I use now.(KIWA)

(yes I am still alive)
Thanks for the links. The laser stuff looks interesting. I'm still wondering if I did the right thing in not ordering the rotary device for my laser. The one thing I laser etched into glass looks "ok". It doesn't look exactly like sandblasted etching.
Adrian
What do you use for mask? I have a hard time cutting masks out of sandblasting rubber with any detail at all. Can I laser cut the mask? I have a blast cabinet full of aluminum oxide for blasting. Is that the hot setup for glass ware or...?

It's a nice sign but calling it carved is a bit of a stretch isn't it? I carve signs with chisels and knives. I think what you have there is a cnc routed sign.
Adrian
Bob,
Did you go with a Ruida controller or a Leetro controller? I went with Ruida. Can't remember the model # but it's one down from the touch screen. (I like buttons)

I just drew a square in Corel and did a linear gradient then clicked the RDcam plugin button and filled in the boxes as to power and speed. It must be the same settings for engraving on glass and acrylic to get pleasing gradients.
Adrian
It does carve! I tried it and it works! I only did a square that faded from black to white but it did a good job of it. I will see what I can do with a basket weave or some such. I think with some experimentation it could be a useful feature. Maybe a self portrait...

It's not Signfoam it's Corafoam from Dunna.
The "scorching" is staining from the smoke. It stains it towards the downwind side of the cut. "Downwind" being caused by the powerful exhaust fan. I get it on pretty much everything I've cut so far except for glass. Glass gives off a fine white...
