  1. As an Adobe user, I'm in shock!

A pleasure to read one of your posts as always Bob. Is that you on the horse in your avatar?
  2. What NOT to do when Selling a 4x8 sign and installing it....

I agree with John. Jason has a pretty tough hide to put up with the shameful level of disrespect some people here delight in hurling at him. We are all in the same boat here fellas. I for one never thought of pounding in a rebar to check for rocks. Sometimes the simplest things elude me. I...
  3. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

Joe, I had no idea it was against any rule to post a website for help or advice. There is a forum page for website critiques, I thought. I've done it many times over the years and never heard anything from Fred about it. Adrian
  4. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

Thank you John. Yes, I do all my carving with chisels and knives like always. I couldn't fit a router into my little shop.
  5. As an Adobe user, I'm in shock!

Joe, You should take a peek at Xara. It comes with a lot of fonts also. I have version 6 but they are up to v9 now. Very good software. Useless import export though. (it used to be called Corel Xara)
  6. As an Adobe user, I'm in shock!

No Idea John. I must confess that I never have the occasion to want to swap in and out of programs to add effects or whatever you folks do with Illy and Photoshop. I don't really do any work for print where that would be useful. I do mostly "actual reality" vs visual effects. Pretty much any...
  7. What NOT to do when Selling a 4x8 sign and installing it....

"cock up" is British for "mess up" or "F up"
  8. As an Adobe user, I'm in shock!

My point wasn't that one is better than the other... My point was the software won't do squat without a good designer at the controls. It ain't the software that makes Joe so good. He would kick my butt with Microsoft Paint. As for me... I just use Corel to make patterns to transfer stuff to...
  9. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

Thanks for the thumbs up guys. Wafles... good reminder there. Xara glosses over that stuff for novices I suppose. It can all be added. I must get on with that part. SEO is something I know nothing about.
  10. As an Adobe user, I'm in shock!

Go up against Joe and Corel with your Adobe Illustrator... go ahead... I dare you. Joe will mop the floor with you. Adrian
  11. Colorado has a new $1.5 million dollar logo

Looks like a haz-mat symbol for carbon monoxide. That'll look good plastered all over. Colorado... the carbon monoxide state.
  12. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

No one has raised any issues with the site itself... which kinda surprises me. I though surely there would be something.
  13. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

Thanks Joe. You are too kind.
  14. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

Ah... the black and pink one is a maternity shop. The do a brisk trade online I'm told. Glad you like it.
  15. Updated my website with lots of hand carved signs

The signs are all Corafoam HDU from Dunna in Texas. I use the green 15 pound stuff. The paint is all Pittsburgh Sunproof latex. A couple of the signs use Magic Sculpt for detals. The sail boat one and blackberry one from memory. Check out Xara... it's really a good program. It also has a very...
  16. Forum text is so small. How can I make it bigger?

I'll be damned! Firefox remembers the zoom and only applies it to the site I zoomed. Thanks man!
  17. Forum text is so small. How can I make it bigger?

It's "Adrian"... and I don't seem to have a "command" key. I'll try caps lock...:thumb:
  18. Forum text is so small. How can I make it bigger?

I can barely read this forum, even with my glasses on. Is there a way to change the font size without affecting any other websites? Actually all the elements on this site seem very small... Adrian
  19. Package project

Damn fine work Bob! Love that gold...
