That is pretty normal when you feed it incorrectly like that. You surely have an idler roller under your bottom pinch like you have on the top. Why aren't you using it? Read this discussion for and understanding of how to properly web a laminator. Or how not to...

I would create a new linearization with lower ink limits. Also make sure you are not overdoing the light inks. Back them off to no more that 20% in the quarter tones and 0% above 70%. You can test this with a quality control target before you make a profile and back the total ink off even more...

I guess you are just going to have to learn the hard way. At minimum as long as you have another partition or computer with 10.8.x and Illustrator you can at least cut from that.
