Have you profiled your machines with a spectrometer? Because I find the opposite.. Our latex is more accurate than our solvent. I do find our solvent can hit more colors than our latex... But that's a very rare occasion when trying to hit a color we never really need to hit.

Email the company and ask to buy the artwork for a one time use. Some companies will allow it... If not, tell your customer they won't allow you to reproduce the artwork, a d thendirect your...
Was about to say - our new latex printer wouldn't nest properly.because it wouldn't rotate. Onyx support mentioned for latex printers you have to enable the auto rotate... That they turned it off to ensure constant colors.
We do still get the odd big file that doesn't want to rotate. But...
If it gets lost you pay xx and they'll give you a new one. It's plugged in 24/7 though...only chance I'd see if it getting lost is if someone stole it. We use the dongle version at work... Besides moving the station, it's.never been unplugged.
I could never get it to work properly. We had a roll leftover... Even turning the heat way down the media tended to buckle/wrinkle and it's hit the heater, or cause head rubs.
After trying 5 times I just threw the roll in the garbage.
We use IJ35 for our cheap Media now. It works great. A...
If you upgrade for I think it was $1000, or pay $50 monthly you get them options that onyx offers.
I never have that glitch either - Flexi isn't too bad. But coming from onyx myself, I hate it. I use onyx at work... At home.i run a 110 latex, and If I could justify buying onyx I would in a...
If you.goto Printhead and click It, it'll tell you if it's in warranty or not.
Did it ever say potential print quality problem? Sucks that it's a Light ink.. every other ink has two heads, and you could.just swap to make sure it's the head.
You can try a manual cleaning. I had my black heads...
Never had one fail to a change. Is it under warranty? I'd call hp... They'll send a new one out 2nd day to you. A failed head isn't a big deal..it sucks, but we just buy a backup of each and warranty any failed ones we have.
Did you guys miss where they want to overlam ontop of the cut vinyl, so people can't pick the letters off?
I don't think it'd work. I've never tried to overlam cut vinyl... But wouldn't it work just like overlaming uv? You'll have some gap/air where the vinyl is, and it'll end up cracking and...
We get a lot of power outages here. 3 years ago we had aboard on our fb500 printer die to one....$7000ish to replace. About two weeks.ago we had one and it fried the power supply. About $950 to replace.
We asked about surge protection... And we were told the main issue isn't surges, it's when...
Wow, thats bad. We use some really cheap calandered and I've never seen it shrink an inch even... I've got a few decals on our truck from 2 years ago up, doesn't seem to have shrunk at all - Maybe you got a bad batch? (I've heard lots of people get bad batches of 8508 though...)
I know they...
Yup. When we first tried it a year or so ago it wasn't this bad. It seems to get worst and worst every roll we get... Now it's just unusable.
The rep told us they get a few complaints.. but they chalk it up to defective rolls and no one ever sends in samples. We're pushing it all the way...
Does 8048 go on pretty clear? We've been using 8508... But it's getting More and more foggy. 3M is sending us a sample of 8048... They said it's their only alternative in the same price as 8508.
8508 is becoming unusable... We're sending samples into their techs to show them how bad it is...
How long does it need to last? And will forklifts / pallet hacks be going over it?
You can use whatever vinyl will stick... Just throw in some floor overlam. We use 3M 3645. It's rated for 6-12 month warranty. We've put some in airports where there's thousands of foot traffic... Still looks...
IJ40 + 8048. We used to use 8508... but the past 10 or so rolls have been really cloudy. Nothing like making a beautiful print, then laminating it and seeing blur marks/clouds everywhere. We find 8048 to be better.
IJ 35 will shrink... Sure, it's rated 5 years... But thats unprinted...
If you're worried about it creasing... Setup an output table on each side of the graphtec. It'll wind it in and out onto the table. We have 4 8 FT tables we made out of plywood... so we can throw 2 on front, 2 on back... Cut 20+ FT and it'll never crease / wrinkle, roll it up... hit cut again...
I don't get trying to save outdated jobs.
The world's moving to automation. More and more self checkout stands than emoyees... Lyft and Uber are pushing the taxi industry out.. We didn't stop auto manufacturers from producing cars to save the horse and carriage jobs, did we?
A more relatable...
Weird. I still have a roll of ij480 (non sv and non lx) version at work. It's really old so I don't use it much... Just on temp labels when people ask for non pvc. For the past few years we've been using it in our solvent printer and it printed fine. When we got our latex our 3M rep told us we...
