The GP 3400 is a non PVC Material. If it's anything like 3M's 480 material, it's likely not latex compatible.
3M Had to come out with a different version (Lx 480) And a solvent version SV 480, because the latex wasn't sticking to IJ480 properly, and it was very, very grainy. I don't see...
I think the main point of the post is to have some kind of infraction system.
Break the rule once... Get an infraction. Twice... 24 hour suspension. Third time.. Your put, etc.
I do see A lot of people offering their services when they're not a member.. I don't know if it's the same people...
I got curious so I watched a few trailer wrap jobs. They all seem to cut the seam at the edge of the panel overlap... So I do think that was why you got a huge water bubble. I kind of remember that from 3M training years ago. I've been lucky enough not to have to do any box trucks though.
You...
Did you slit down the Panel or just wrap over it? If you wrapped over it that's where the water is coming from. It's always best to slit
(edit) maybe I'm wrong...we don't do many trailers. Lots of cars, but we never have that big of a gap in the cars we do. But to me it looks like the gaps too...
1 - Lets say you do 5-10%. You have 20 trucks to do... you mess up one truck, there goes your proffit for the WHOLE job. You need to mark up a heck of a lot more than 5-10%.... Some jobs we think are a pain in the ass, such as this one would be... we markup 100-200%.
2 - It sounds like you...
$100 per printhead... We have a backup of each. When one fails... We call hp... They overnight a new one... We plop in our backup... And a new backup arrives. Not that difficult.
Let me know how you like your solvent in a few months when you get a head strike / rub and have to fork out $3000...
Both machines we got came with faulty heads.
The tech told me the proper way to do the heads is to flush a little bit of fluid into it or something like that before installing them, and the first tech didn't do it... Which is why two came out bad. He said lost techs don't do it.
No idea if...
Only option really is a heat gun. It warms the glue up and causes it to stick better... I'd slowly heat it and press it down. If that doesn't work... You may be out of luck.

I use it a lot for latex, works great. Usually I stay away from budget brands for vinyl... But paper is paper, this stuff is less than $150 for a roll...
Have you guys ever tracked how many ft a roll actually is?
We've had some rolls that came up 5-10ft short. One time we printed a full roll... Started to laminate it and we had like 30 extrabft of laminate. We weren't keeping track of how much we printed, so not sure if they gave us extra...
First... HP print heads are not 1/6 the cost of solvent. Our Seiko print heads cost $5,000 installed. Our Latex printheads are $130. So I can get 38.5 print heads for the price of one... and it takes all but 30 seconds to pop it in and get back on our feet once the quality degrades.
If you're...
They do fit. The latex 100 are the same machine as the 300. Only difference is the ink... You pay less upfront, but pay more for ink.
There is no way to change it to allow it to use the bigger ink though. At least not that's publicly known.
Have you.had print issues before?
I can't say from 100%... But the carriage travels so fast on our solvent that he whole machine shakes. And we've never had an issue. The vinyl is held down with rollers... So any shaking theoretically shouldn't be a problem. Unless your building is shaking...
That sounds more reasonable. Everything costs more in Canada. Canada complains about tarrifs but we probably have the most tarrifs than any other country...
Even Canadian products... Made down the street? Cheaper to spend an hour and waste gas to cross the border and buy it in USA.
I get...
A good laminate has uv protection to protect your printed graphics. A clear vinyl won't have that.
You can print on a laminate... We've done it lots. Is there a difference? Well... Some clear vinyl has special adhesive like control tac that allows you to reposition the vinyl. Laminate is...
Funny enough I got an E-mail from 3M Today about 175... I saw the price point and laughed. It's nearly double 180CV3/MC, at least their E-mail listed it as double. I don't see any upside to 175, especially with all that leftover glue...
How is the clearness on the 8048? We use 8508 a lot...
Do you have access to us : USA post office box?
For around $200 Canadian you can get a gas powered auger from harbor freight.
We do about 20 signs where we have to dig per summer... So not much. But we were manually digging with a shovel + post hole digger shovel and it was brutal. Took us a...
Perf cut works. We cut lots of diff shapes on our graphtec. Never tried on a summa or Roland.... I've heard summas aren't good at perf cutting anything besides squares. Never tried... But I think officially that's what summa says is supported.
I've cut thousands of circles and hearts, and...
We have a seiko h274s. I know comparing a couple generations ago solvent with current generation latex isn't fair... But on our h274 we were going through so much ink during cleanings and consumables like wipers, filters, etc that it costs way, way more than replacing a few latex heads.
We...
