It takes forever for Flexi to open. Instaed of deleting fonts, can I get rid of the adobe filters? It seems these take forever to load, and I don't use this program for bitmap work. Any input would be appreciated!

you can still flatten it. copy it, paste it, rasterize it, print it. you still have the original Easy as pie

very true. I don't want to bust any stones, but the effects they are selling are VERY easy to accomplish with ps. You can even get a plugin that will do it automatically.

I have xara 3d, but I find I get better results using ai 3d effect and then copying into ps, and then altering colors gradients, etc.

I agree that it is a very difficult machine to master. Having said that, I by no means am a master, but have found the sweet spot to run error free for a good while now. I only run reverse wound material through it, and also wind the backing paper up by hand.

fyi,, alienskin offers a plugin for ps and corel that has a thousand different variations of diamond plate... the plugin is called impact
