  1. Vehicle Decals: printed or solid color vinyl

I would do like this.... You won't notice much difference in the blacks of print vs cut vinyl. We mix all the time, customer usually has no clue.
  2. Wrapping a Ford F350 Dually

Big piece like that, 3 people is best. 2 holding each end, liner removed, and one heating the entire sheet with a torch/gun. Then lay that b&*^ch on there.
  3. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

Doesn't matter if it's cheap....it's supposed to last 2 years and provide UV Protection, not burn outdoors. We use tons of this, have for years.... Not good to hear it's failing suddenly.
  4. National Sign Chains

I think Federal Heath? They have a few locations, not sure how far their tentacles reach out.
  5. double sided window graphics... HELP!

Why visible from both sides? If that's what they want, then produce one set installed inside and one installed outside.
  6. Needing Recommendations of Print media for vehicle wraps.

Another topic that's been beat to death on here.....so don't bother hitting that search button up there.
  7. if I were to buy a new Mimaki, how do I deal with the old files?

I can't imagine a scenario where a new printer would affect your design files. Regardless of printer make or your RIP software, your files don't care what you use.
  8. Another Font.....Similar to Futura Italics

Seems you answered your own question? Actually Futura XBlack Condensed Italic, then stretched a bit (the light blue is the main text). They did an inline for the red, which I hate when people do, because the inside corners are not sharp.
  9. Profiling suggestions around Chicago/Indianapolis area

Really? I never could get decent reds on anything UNTIL we got the Latex! I've run Mimakis, older HP 8000s and 9000, and Rolands. The first time I printed something red on our L260 I was amazed. And then printed some greys and was more amazed. You gotta have correct profiles, yes, but also...
  10. Crystallex?

Oh man you got me...I was about to go off and then realized what you did....
  11. Soft Proof? Is it on?

SOLVED: It IS the workspace. Just changed to Default instead of Inspire. Completely different setup of tools.
  12. Soft Proof? Is it on?

Here is my screen, all toolbars up....no icon like you have shown.
  13. Soft Proof? Is it on?

That's what I was saying, I can only do it by going to View>Color>Soft Proof....but there is no indication whatsoever to tell me it's on or off. I can only see the color shift and assume the "right" one is the one that looks best.
  14. Soft Proof? Is it on?

WTF...I have 12, and do not have anything you are referring to. Maybe it is specific to certain Workspaces? I use a customized Inspire workspace. No icon, no "Standard" when I right click the toolbar area.
  15. Soft Proof? Is it on?

I don't think that is correct. There is no change to that icon when I switch on or off in the menu....the one you point to simply opens the Color dialog box. EDIT: Hard to see your photo, but now I notice I don't even have that icon on my screen. It is the Swatch on/off toggle and Color...
  16. Soft Proof? Is it on?

This has come up many times at work and finally am asking you guys....how do you know for sure when you have Soft Proof turned on? I can see the color change most of the time when I *think" I have clicked it on, but there is no 'check mark' or other indicator, like PS does, to show that it is...
  17. Crystallex?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Crystallex+vinyl Almost makes me sad that this day and age, no one knows how to find anything.
  18. car wrap print layout

Maybe if people would stop trying to be "Super-Troll" and actually offer some helpful info, this site would be enjoyable.
  19. Printing on hip sheeting help!!!

    A. Are you using media guides? B. Is that stuff even latex printable??
  20. car wrap print layout

18" printer?? I don't think you should be in the wrap business then.
