depends on the design. I have done many large windows with horizontal seams, and designed them so a line/box/some sort of horizontal element was at the seam. If it's just a full on photo or design with nothing breaking it up, I'd still do horizontal halves.

Bottom line: if this company is an existing customer of yours, it IS an issue. If you have never sold a thing to them, then I don't see an issue. Also I don't think it was mentioned how this company contacted your employee.....if it was through YOU, then there is a conflict of interest, ONLY if...

What seems outdated about it? Looks like most any other design program....a working area and a bunch of toolbars. Not sure what you could make feel 'current'. You know you can change the UI of Flexi right? More specifically, the Workspace.

We've had many quote requests lately asking for "deck-uls"...and as mentioned, Canadian or WAY up north U.S. Cracks us up, all being Texan. But I despise people calling them 'stickers'. Stickers are what gets stuck in your socks and shoelaces when you're out in the woods.

Flexi isn't the best at vectorizing on its own, but I am quicker in Flexi when just recreating/drawing something myself. Used to know Corel inside out but haven't used in maybe 10 years.

Yep...."just go and pull it off our website".... My favorite is receiving a low res .jpg and telling them I need a vector format, in EPS/AI/PDF. "Oh I can send a PDF". When I get it, it's the SAME low res .jpg, saved as a PDF. And they still don't get what I am needing.

This is mostly true. I have had some luck with flat or eggshell...problem is many new gloss paints have that anti-stain additive that makes it tricky. One trick we have learned is to take alcohol to the paint with a rag, and then stick your graphic on.
