route em, smooth edges with palm sander and put the damn things up. If we all worried about this and that with a job this small why do it at all.
Silicone flat to the wall nothing else needed unless you wanted to vhb it, so it stays there till silicone sets. And dont forget the sand the hell out of the back
we would tape it off to where it is square against the window and start from top. peeling off ONLY the backing you can apply at a time while holding the rest of the roll. we have done wet and dry. if you could talk them into perf that sure would be a lot better

depends on how deep you bury it. I have signs out there for several years that look great, i have had some vinyl curling upmundef the clear on others, i have even had the clear scale off the vinyl. And all were done the same way. You just never know.
make sure you scuff the vinyl and clean...

We use 2 part epoxy from auto paint supplier, it usually comes in dk grey, lite grey or white. We use on all aluminum and steel. Although i hate steel no matter what you do it rusts
