  1. Great way to start your day.

Was going to say the same thing. The colours were processed to make them more saturated than they really were. They should have left it as it actually appeared if they wanted to credit the colours to god. As it stands some praise has to go to the almighty Photoshop.
  2. Great way to start your day.

I sent that link to my colour blind friends.
  3. My logo made the cover of the Lands End catalog!

Nice! I remember a thread about that logo on here. Anyone have a link?
  4. Too many "Designers"

It just occurred to me that maybe we should ask "What would this look like burned into the side of a cow?" when we look at a logo.
  5. Too many "Designers"

One more "designer". Just a few simple suggestions...
  6. Chiropractors

I haven't had any back trouble since I started Taekwondo 8 years ago. Your body is meant to move. When you don't keep it moving it stops working right.
  7. It doesn't look that hard

It's a skill like any other.... it takes know-how and practice. (I haven't learned to do it yet but I probably should)
  8. Weigh-Ins for the signs101 Losers (the good kind!)

200 pounds?! Damn! You've got a tough road ahead... At least you have a built in incentive program... those 3 year olds are gonna need their daddy to be around for a long time.
  9. Need A 3D Prop For a Wrap

The Pizza Planet rocket would be easy to fabricate... if it didn't light up.
  10. Need A 3D Prop For a Wrap

The logo doesn't lend itself to being 3D. The blue shading and white highlight is the problem. How do you represent that in a 3D object? I think the client will have to accept some creative license if they want a 3D version. I expect a safe/durable one off of this 6 feet long with a bracket...
  11. Stencil Cutouts???

Hold the phone... your Summa has 300 pounds of downforce??!! Impressive! (I only have 150 pounds of downforce soaking wet.)
  12. Need A 3D Prop For a Wrap

I made rockets as a kid and they worked. (back when kids had hobbies) They were made of paper tubes and balsa. I can see a sonna tube wrapped with glass cloth and resin being fairly durable.
  13. Need A 3D Prop For a Wrap

A pic and a few dimensions would probably help your chances. I can make you a rocket ship but I'm a fair distance away.
  14. Stencil Cutouts???

Try goggling something called see-temp. It was used by R/C airplane builders to make stencils as you describe. Only they used an Xacto knife.
  15. Painting anodized aluminum

Remove the anodize with oven cleaner (lye) then use acid etch primer. You can get a spray can of it at NAPA. Use it outdoors... it is nasty stuff to breath. (this stuff actually makes you feel bad right away... so will the lye) You can prime it with zinc chromate paint after if you like but I...
  16. Too many "Designers"

Have to agree with BobbyH... the first is too busy and my eyes go all around it trying focus on something. The script font doesn't work for the bullet list. I also think Bank Gothic would work better. I hate the little serifs(?) on Bank Gothic though... the ones inside the "C" and such. Anyone...
  17. Wing restaurant logo

BTW... that thing Philip posted is fab!
  18. Wing restaurant logo

Office workers are gonna eat wings for lunch? This would have made a great design challenge for over the holidays.
  19. Personal stuff...

That's a nice rack! (you keep flashing that poster from Wasatch... I must say those are some very fine bums. Some poor schmuck has to spend all day getting the poses and lighting just right on those... poor muffin.)
  20. Small v-carved sign

    Very nice Bob.
