The Database programs come completely blank, very much like Illustrator. You then have to "develop" files to do what you want them to do. Similar to Illustrator you have to learn how the program works and create the final product for your use. I take that back a little...there are some very...
The straight cutting bits I have been using are in fact up-cutting. That's a great suggestion that I just came across also. Changing to a down- cutting bit may help to stop lifting the mask on the edges of straight cuts.
I just had a similar problem with a new Dell and Mcaffee. It took me about 20 tries doing the same thing as you over and over and then finally I think what happened is that I manually downloaded the latest upgrade and everything seemed to start acting normal after that.
By the way, I am using brand new, sharp bits but now that I think about it...maybe I should make a less agressive first pass on the cut so I just cut through the mask and then go for the deeper finish cuts with the router. This may yield a cleaner cut edge with less impact on the adhesion of...
Thank you George and Jill...I was thinking about trying some Oracal mask so you confirmed that it's probably worth a try.
I thought I was sort of specific, but to review, the substrates are typically pre-painted with One Shot Lettering Enamel full strength out of the can (like Jill likes...
I was wondering what type of masking anyone might be using, specifically for routing and painting afterward. I typically use Gerber Mask I for most of my work on painted substrates, which are then routed and then painted and/or gold leafed in the routed areas. Lately though, I've been having...
You have to be a little careful when printing camo fills, the well known ones like Real Tree, Mossy Oak, etc. are actually copyrighted. I think there may have been prior discussions here on this issue, do a search to see if you can find them. One suggestion was simply take some photos in the...
I have a Corel v12 file that I can't seem to open with anything. I'm using v12 presently so I don't understand why I would have a problem. Would anyone be able to help me open this tonight? I'd sure appreciate it...
To do the Z Axis initialize, you need a Z Axis guage, which looks like a 3" x 5" piece of acrylic with a scratched surface. This guage is approximately 1/4" and allows your router to know where the top surface of the material is. The guage you are trying to use is a depth guage and is used for...
You can export from Omega to EPS or AI files....you can use the menu bar to Edit/Copy from Omega and Edit/Paste into Illustrator also. If you install the program on the second computer you can operate it in demo mode without the security block, I'm not sure if that will allow copy and paste to...
Those edge cap corner notchers are actually manufactured for sheet metal work and can be found at your local HVAC supplier or as you said, probably the Home Depot has a similar item.
I would just like to say that I think this thread once again demonstrates the high quality of Signs101. I also would agree that any tools designed for the ease of use of any type collection adds great value to it.
Take the pen tip out of a BIC pen, or similar, and use the pen cylinder to clean off the sprokets. They fit perfectly and clean them right off, with a little help from a paper towel and some isopropyl alcohol if needed.
I thought there was a way to arrange the palettes either alphabetically or by color grouping, but I looked and looked recently and couldn't find any such thing. Maybe it was an earlier version that allowed for that?
