You're at the start of a long road....
all spectrophotometers do the same thing. The difference is how they work. I.e. Manual reading, automatic ect. And also some have other features.
Xrite i1 profiler is good enough for anyone. And it's a good start as it comes with plenty of software to...
Canned profiles will never get you the best colours.
If you're running Mac, caldera is for mac..
iMac over a Mac mini.
If you care a lot about colour. Onyx. But need pic for onyx or boot camp or the other program that runs windows on Mac.
I don't know what you mean by "dual print" but onyx can print mulitiple 'layers' but I'm pretty sure it's up to your printer if it can handle it.
On my Arizona. I can print up to 3 layers. I can do configurations like colour white colour. Or colour white white. You can add spot channels ect.
:) It's great to be apart of a community that listens to their members.
I'm a huge forum user. A lot of different layouts, Some are good and same are quite cluttered. I find my self to stay off the cluttered ones that are hard to navigate around. It's more of an annoyance when searching for...
I want to make this clear. For RIP PCs, We need Xeon processors. Not Core i7 ect.
They are far more efficient, and are built for processing data as they have hyper threading. They also work so much better and last a lot longer under load.
This is getting better now.
On the home page, can i request a page button at the top, instead of all the way at the bottom? or under the forum bit, on top of the bulletins.
You RIP PC should be dedicated to a RIP only. I use a Dell Precision series. up to you on what one. Xeon over a i7 processor though. (i have a dual screen setup mainly because i did everything on the RIP PC)
I use a 13" XPS laptop for the rest of my work. I miss the dual big screens, but when i...
Well i just figured out, if i click forum, it gets to the sub forums.
What i'd personally prefer is navigating to all sub forums a breeze. For example to hover over the forum button, it would be better if all the sub forums came down as a list.
IMO, This site now feels like more about revenue...
Im afraid this is the problem with Chinese stuff. Lack of tech support.
Try a different print mode again. see if it does the same thing. eliminate the software.
I've had something similar happen. Called canon and we resolved it. Turns out it was a setting in onyx.
So rule out your software...
That's handy. Sometimes the crop marks are useful depending on the job. But if i need them, i'll put them myself. I don't like it when "graphic designers" think they know it all and put all these crop marks and printer marks on it. 90% of the time it's an annoyance.
Also - If someome is...
It seems a lot of Caldera users complain about onyx but never say what is actually wrong with it?? i have read complaints on many forums, mostly "i don't like how onyx works" or it's "to hard to use"
What is to hard to use?? what doesn't work well?? to this day i don't know
This is not me being...
I've seen caldera 10 in action. It did not phase me one bit to move on from onyx.
Been from x10 now 12.1.
Onyx works perfect for me. theres nothing i "wish" it did. or to do something any better than it does.
