This actually annoys me a little. What is the "same response"?
That onyx is actually quite quick?
That onyx has the most renowned media manager to create pretty much a better profile than every other RIP?
Because all of that is true.
I have looked at caldera before. It just does not keep up...
Not sure if you missed where i had said the g7 inside onyx is pretty useless as you cannot do or see what it's doing.
You should have tried the trial. The trial knows what key you have so it'll work like you have 12.1 for 30 days or so. Only thing it won't allow you to do is create a ICC...
I have never used caldera. When people say it's "easier" to use caldera. I dont understand the difficulty to use onyx. If you set it up right, have your printer profiles all done properly ect. Set your quick sets for your print mode. (flat bed & roll user here) i'll select the media i'm using...
I "repaired" it, but still the same. I'm getting a message saying "unable to create start file 'C:\program files\onyx\thrive 12\input\arizona\info
I realised there was no "info" folder. Made one and problem solved.
Thanks guys.
For some reason, no jobs are showing in onyx. i can open jobs and print current job but i cannot see anything on my screen. And also cannot see buffered jobs.
I deleted the files in my work folder, but it didnt help.
Ideas?
Thanks.
I want to do something similar, been thinking about it. I'd like a patch set and reference data with in the colour space of the printer. Then print the patch set, measure and put the measurements against the reference data through colorthing pro.
I think i have to make my own though. Pantone...
Apart from looking at soft proofs with the granger rainbow and other images, and also printing them off and comparing them to your monitor.
Is there a way you can print a set of patches, measure them and put them against a reference set and see how accurate they are?
I suppose similar to when...
by 12, i hope you mean 12.1
12 vs 12.1 the rip speeds are noticeably quicker. And if i'm not mistaking some improved features for the canvas and banners. 12 has improved over 11 but 12.1 has some changes too.
The G7 inside onyx (although it's hidden) can be improved. I cannot understand if it's...
When installing, Make sure when its updating the key ect, there's no errors. If there is, do not proceed. Or else you'll go through what i went though on friday, which was installing and reinstalling onyx and my profiles.
Never used flexi before. but is there an ink restrictions option where you can control how much ink you lay down? as in with out choosing the high and low option?
Can you some how measure the CMYK patches with a spectro and set where your maximum ink should be at as a percentage. If that makes...
It installs over 12. itll recognise the install file.
Did you get the licence update from onyx or canon? with out it, you cannot update (i had this problem with out reading the note on the onyx site)
I finally got my updated key, and now finally get to play with 12.1
I haven't really noticed to much changes. Slightly faster rip speeds. I'll get a better test when i do larger files. it is noticeable though.
The job ticket has changed. They also have a Due date so you can have files sitting...
