If you want to cut latex paint use Flotrol for latex paint it is found in all paint stores.For cutting oil-based paint use Penetrol.Both these products wont effect coverage or drying time like water or thinner will.It also wont effect the paints warranty not that that will matter.

I have used almost every paint on the market for all kinds of surfaces and i really like the Benjamin Moore Aura primer plus paint also the Home Depot primer plus paint is good also however if sanding between coats is required then i would use Gliddens latex Gripper primer found at home depot...
