Never had that issue on our Vista machines.. on either X3 or X5. What version do you have? Is it older? Have you tried downloading any of the updates for your version? Could it be related to you graphics card maybe? Have you tried updating those drivers?

Yeah, it happened to us with X3 on vista, it doesn't happen on X5 though. To get it to stop doing that, just hold down space and move an object to do that on purpose, then when you release space and move an object it goes back to normal.
