  1. Cost plus pricing

Installed, I'd be about $5K. Not sure what this whole cost plus pricing means. EVEVRYTHING should be cost plus....to cover overhead and make a profit. Then again, we don't do wholesale.
  2. Use JV# for a Coroplast Printing?

    Absotively, positlutely NOT.
  3. Needing printable 3M vinyl

Huh? Are you using V1? V3 shows no channels, and I do tons of small and large decals. You can not see air channels.
  4. heat settings for printing on Oracal Premium Cast vinyls?

LOL....you're not gonna melt the vinyl all over the printer. This vinyl is not that much different than normal print vinyl. You may have to drop the heat a little bit, as you may see a bit of heat warp, mostly due to the difference in the liner. I print on regular vinyl in a pinch, and sometimes...
  5. Help redesigning our logo

I hope this was a joke. If not....dear god....
  6. a simple question...about borders on signs going into frames...

Never fails when someone sends "ready to go" artwork for a real estate frame, and either they have some stupid border which will get covered up on one side (or both) or they have all their text running right up to edge. If we are able to edit their file, and send a revised proof, they usually...
  7. Printing Backlit panels

I don't think this is a media you would use for a backlit acrylic sign outside. It's not even adhesive backed, for starters.
  8. Best way/tool to cut acrylic?

We just use an 80 tooth on our table saw.
  9. Just for fun and stocking stuffing

Yeah, it's utter garbage because of this oversight. jesus.
  10. Probably the Worlds Largest MS Paint Billboard

Pretty sure the entire design was intentional, if you read the article.
  11. Custom ADA Sigs

Hmm...don't think they are in Dallas.
  12. Orical 3951ra VS 3571ra? Plus! 290 VS 293?

Honestly, and I know I'll get flamed, but I'd shy away from either. Avery or 3M are much easier to install, IMO.
  13. Custom ADA Sigs

What he said....but if you do want local, we use TOL. Not always the quickest though....
  14. The only font you'll ever need!

Awesome! I have a sign with all 1/2" lettering that would be fun to weed with this font!
  15. Flexi 10.5 Cut/Plot Issue

Just draw a box around your artwork that you send with each color layer. Then each color has the same outer border. Pretty simple.
  16. Flexi 10.5 Cut/Plot Issue

You have to select "Use Same Driver Options For All Colors" to retain any info for each layer. EDIT: nevermind I read your post wrong.
  17. Printing and Contour cutting on R Tape Smooth Silver

Never done 4 point marks before? That's all I use. the Q54 auto scan is horrible. Select the 4 point marks when you send your file with the contour cut to the RIP. After printing, and laminating if applicable, load the print on the cutter. Then just send the cut file. It will prompt you to...
  18. Printing and Contour cutting on R Tape Smooth Silver

4 Point marks and manual bomb sight alignment.
  19. Laminate Roll Width compared to Media Roll Width

I guess you're the only person that WANTS their laminate to be way bigger than the media. I can't even comprehend this thought process. You must enjoy spending a huge amount of time trimming off the excess laminate.
  20. Laminate Roll Width compared to Media Roll Width

Wasn't the rollers he was talking about...it was the platen. 1/2" of laminate isn't going to hangup on the rollers usually....but it does stick on the back as it comes off.
