  1. Edge Original - stretching the punched holes

We even get it sometimes with Gerber material here... just had it happen with a 50yd roll of 280 white yesterday. We unwound the roll and rolled it backwards on another core, it printed fine from that end of the roll. Once we hit the bad again, we'll send that part of the roll in for a...

  3. Printheads not working. After cleaning print heads this is a test print!

It was a bad seal on the cap tops and a clogged drain line going down to the pump causing the issues. When the head "parks" on top of the capping station, it parks a bit too far to the right and the caps are not able to come up and correctly seat on the head. If you give it a little manual bump...
  4. Printheads not working. After cleaning print heads this is a test print!

Any luck yet? I was busy all weekend, but if you still need help let me know. Nazdar should have the Roland parts you might need in stock if you think you'll need anything.
  5. Gas below $3 per gallon in New Jersey, how about by you...

While it is down here (I paid $2.91/gal this weekend), the gas is now "winter bled" fuel here. My Civic which normally averages around 39 mpg is down to 32 mpg off of the last tank with mainly highway driving... so the price difference is basically a wash.
  6. Printheads not working. After cleaning print heads this is a test print!

See the reply you quoted above... If you need help before Monday, my cell is in a PM to you.
  7. Help JV33 Fabric Ink sinking in

If it is looking gray, and the rest of the colors look good; is your black only outputting the "K", or is it set up as a rich black? If it was spraying a mix of colors along with black, it shouldn't ever look black. Check your profile for black generation of the CMYK levels at the area in question.
  8. Computer for Versaworks

If funds are available, get a solid-state hard drive to speed it up even more.
  9. Friction Feed Cutting Gerber Prints

Check craigslist, I've seen a few HS15s recently on it locally here. You're gonna need either a sprocket fed. With an optical sensor plotter, you're gonna have to rethink your entire regular process.
  10. Printheads not working. After cleaning print heads this is a test print!

hopefully, the head was locked into position when you transported it to its new home? Have you done the "ink pump up" where you have to remove and insert cartridges a few times? (I think it's in the maintenance menu)
  11. Printheads not working. After cleaning print heads this is a test print!

still awaiting your photo, but I'm betting on bad capping station seal, dampers, or clogged drain lines. All will cause bad printing after sitting. if the heads were good yesterday, they're still good today. Rolands operate off of some magic that makes the only pump on the machine in the...

  13. Where to buy "Top Load Frames"?

I have a customer looking to buy a truckload of this style of frame. (1000 pieces) They are looking for around 18x24", black frame, for outdoors (convenience stores). Creative Banner is the only vendor I use that sells anything similar, do you know anyone else that sells them? (link to creative...
  14. borderless prints

just get bigger paper and cut it down, a borderless print would be impossible to laminate anyway...
  15. Anyone heard of this material?

Sihl makes a great product for gallery wraps. Don't go with bottom-dollar products for long-term photo prints.
  16. Back film slit tool

Fellers has them. Our installers use them and they work great, I think they have to replace the pads regularly though.
  17. Brown Patina Metal Sheets?

Might he be looking for corten steel? It rusts very quickly and makes signs look vintage. It is brown, but it's sure not shiny.

I bet you're glad that you weren't going a lot faster when that happened!
  19. Step & Repeat Banner Stand

THAT is a good price Signworld. The supplier I always purchased my 8x8 stands from was Creative Banner Supplies.
  20. Scratches in Print During Application

That's about all you can do. If you're installing the new chrome wrapping films I recommend laminating them first, as the scratches do NOT come out of the unlaminated films. (and the customer cleaning the wrap will scratch the film also)
