  1. Never done that in all my years......................................

Here is something I've done twice and I pray doesn't happen again. Holding an 18" ruler with cork back, cutting along it and the blade jumped up onto the ruler and through my pointer finger. Cut off a large chunk of my finger clean off, took about 5 days to stop bleeding and the hospital had to...
  2. Business valuation

Talk to a business broker. (My dad is one) You take your gross sales, DCF, equipment value and customer base to figure out a good asking price for the business.
  3. Trouble with lights

If they indeed used strips/ribbon LEDs, those things are the worst and super super cheap. If the connector is just barely slightly off, they won't light. You have can't touch them or they can disconnect. I would never use that manufacturer again if that is the case.
  4. Who owns their own commercial building?

If you are buying land, I heard that it takes up to one year to transfer over when you buy it.

So if everyone is done with the high school drama. The customer is working on getting me a better image. Also I never asked for a freebie or asked for someone to do it for me. I was hoping you all knew a place that may have a better image I could trace or a site that has a vector such as brands...

I didn't say $50 for a set of magnets. I said that is probably what it'd cost to vectorize it. The magnets are like $40 each

  11. Buffalo Soldiers driving me crazy

  15. Should I use this vendor for channel letters ?

Don't know but I will never use them. I emailed them 3 times with files asking for a quote. Days......weeks..... a month went by and never a reply. Calling them didn't work either. They lost all of my business.
  16. I should have known better!

You can get $5.00 coroplast signs online however they come out of China and take nearly 3 weeks to get them. Next time ask for the quote or invoice from the other company, chances are they don't have one. Customers like to make their own prices for signs. They ask me often "Don't you just push...

  20. Permitting - UGH!

Generally the county is two weeks and the city is one week. Fastest I've ever gotten a permit approved is two days. I cover the entire state and pull permits all over. Fairfax county is the worst. You go to the 7th floor to get approval to submit a sign permit, then go to the 4th floor to...
