    Don't use 3rd party ink
  5. Warning! Graphic Images

Yes it bothers the heck out of me. I've seen worse than that.
  6. Ultraflex - Aquaflex

Has anyone used or tried the Aquaflex vinyl? I am interested in it for pools, but I saw that it's 50 mil. Is it printable by a standard wide format printer? or flatbed printing only? That is super thick. I see that you are suppose to use a liquid laminate, I am guessing Frog Juice or Clear Shield.
  7. High resolution wood grain images, what's the best site?

I do agree that they are overpriced and restrictive, but they have some nice work.
  8. More famous everyday

I have the aurora graphics collection if you want a good one.
  12. What vinyl should i use for this job?

Probably the thing that will stick the best is panoRama Walk and Wall. It's made like a carpet and it has a super bold on things like concrete, carpet, wood, etc. However it's 8 mil thick. As for the thin vinyl, most vinyls will peel up shortly after use. You can try a thinner anti-slip or floor...
  13. tire decals got me stumped

My suggestion is to try low energy vinyl.
  14. Laser cutting guy, new to printing

Mutoh is growing little by little but it's still a brand I will stay away from. Roland, Mimaki, DCS for some of the best and I hear Vutek and Océ are decent for entry level.
  15. Laser cutting guy, new to printing

Bad choice in my opinion. There isn't much information because it's not a great printer. It costs $20,000 which is a lot of money for only a 19" printer. You can't even print a yard sign on it. Again in my opinion, I'd send it back, get a refund and get something better. I'd never get anything...
  16. Laser cutting guy, new to printing

UV Flatbed printing has it's ups and downs. A few things to know. Also it depends on which one you bought. -POSITIVE- Make signs fast, less labor Low cost Wider range of substrates and products to print on Instant drying, generally it's cured when it's done printing (depending on printer)...
  17. when you are ready to throw in the towel

    Latex has it's own problems
  18. when you are ready to throw in the towel

If any of them were ink side facing ink side, that will happen, but generally not ink side to back. I am thinking maybe when stacked, they couldn't properly cure, trapped the ink and air. Perhaps next time give them 24 - 48 hours laying out on their own exposed.
  19. 1 time Van Letterng

You measure the area the lettering is going to go, then draw a box in your software and put everything in that box. Then it will fit on the van.
  20. 5 x 10 Table

You can get 5' X 10' table materials in one piece. But it's mega heavy. I actually have a 5' X 12' table. I have a 5' X 12' Rhino cutting mat and has never once moved on me, the weight keeps it there. You can add industrial strength velcro under it if you want.
