as far as practicing sand blasting...text should work fine...If you want dogs though and have any kind of program that will vectorize you can use your imagination . Take newspaper clippings, anything, outline it, scan it, vectorize it, clean up the nones and cut....

I have used duct tape to pull off reflective adhesive. I remember that thread. It doesn't always get it all, but I've had good luck with it as an aid. It depends on circumstances.
I've heard that people use both sides. I think the only difference is that one side has a grid on it. I'm about to flip mine over to use the other side.
