  1. Bad Dog?

I agree!!! Just when we were used to naked women as an expression of art, they go to this. I'm all for going back to the days of old. . . On a side note..... They should hook up a water hose inside the dogs wiener that is motion activated when someone passes by.
  2. 54" plotter ???

    any input?
  3. 54" plotter ???

I need a 54" plotter for a specialty job. Typically I do just fine with my smaller cutter, and don't believe I would use a larger cutter much, after this job is done. (6 months or so) Question..... Should I buy one of those cheapies off ebay? I really don't want to spend a bunch of $$$ on a...
  4. Banner job from h#ll

  5. close call

What fun is that??? This is a great way to build up your reaction times!!! :iamwithstupid Seriously though.....if this happens on a regular basis, then you really should build yourself some sort of lexan viewing wall to stand behind (just a thought). I don't cut much aluminum, but have...
  6. How do you do this?

I can arrive at all the effects shown, but my way is rather unconventional. I'd create all the letters and outlines in flexi, then add the effects in illustrator. I believe it can all be accomplished in the newer versions of flexi.
  7. Panel Saw Kit (that works!)

    nice......Enjoy.
  8. Can your CNC table do this?

i use mine to remove the cookie part, leaving only the cream. The vacuum hold down is the tricky part. The cream always ends up being a thin layer the size of a dinner plate. Im adding more zones for this very reason. If i had a nickle for every spoil board splinter i got in my tongue.
  9. 3'x3' Sign On One or Two Poles?

But the "U" post flexes & twists with the face. His 4x4 post will not move, thus putting a strain on the fasteners. If these are not "pretty" signs, then you can abandon the 4x4 and use the U-channel & .125 for the face. If you're locked into using the 4x4 aluminum post, then do as Moze...
  10. Cutting aluminum at home

He did??? Besides Marlene......my post was directed to "Chip", who feels a great business plan is to "start off with nothing" and see how it goes. Take that to the bank, and watch them laugh you out of the building (oh wait....he's not going to the bank). How do you feel, knowing you are...
  11. Cutting aluminum at home

I just made a sign for a new automobile service station. The 2 owners (friends) had many years experience working as mechanics at a local dealership....basically a couple grease monkeys with no business experience, thrusting themselves into the world of entrepreneur'ship. Could you even imagine...

  14. How to back-spray large translucent face?

  15. Bleed thru

Dumb vinyl question of the day...... I'm lettering a black enclosed trailer, with a majority of the film being a cut vinyl (yellow). In the past, I have seen where the yellow has actually darkened a shade due to the transparency of some cast films. So, which "cut vinyl" films prevent this...
  16. dealing with customers....

you really have to get suspicious when they ask for your mothers maiden name....LOL I'm usually one of those people that ask for a last name. Of course, I live in a very small community..... so generally I will know someone in their family, or have mutual friends. (and I'm nosey) Part of...

  18. how to prep bare aluminum

Every speed limit sign (caution, curve, route# ect) you see on the highways is vinyl on mill finish. Clean with xylene...rinse...dry....wipe with alcohol.....apply vinyl.
