from what i have seen (which is not alot) the solara is pretty good for the cost i think the solara 1 is about $50-60,000 but if they had a white feature that worked good i would gladly pay $80,000 one of the good ones that i have seen that prints white is the mimaki but that is about $120,000

looks good but no white ink white ink is a big feature

that is just how many time it will over lap when you print on clear or translucent material you may have to experiment on how many layers of ink you need to achive the opacity you want

overprint: to print on top of an existing layer of print, to put down a second shot of ink

i have had this happen one problem i have noticed is if the material gets skewed the register marks may get too close to the edge and the optical eye can't read them properly

goto start menu rt click explorer goto program files then versa works then to swatches then click illustr then you have to put this in your illust presets copy and paste swatches then you can access the color pallate in your swatches section as far as printing the color profiles you have...

if you get it repaired may cost about $150.00 still cheaper than a new plotter we had some problems with ours after 5 years it was cutting off line got it repaired from the vender been good as new last 2 years
