the frame comes off the main sign (main part is the bulbs and stand)
you unscrew 2 screws at the bottom and pull out and then up off the base
once i took the sign holder frame off it has screws in the corners and when i removed them it does nothing(i don't even know why they are there)

i have had multiple un-explained problems
-cutting 5-10 laminated prints and all of a sudden one won't read the crop marks
-art work only imports in one direction and can not be rotated

not sure what you did but you might want to restore back to before you made the adjustment just to get it working again

we have roland machines and when this happens i have done powerfull cleanings where you open up the machine and swab everything (check the manual also make sure your inks aren't low i was have that with black once and it was real low i changed the cart. and it was fine

i would see what kind of deals you can get on a new one they are giving these things away now to move the bigger units
we have a sp300 about 1.5 years still runs great
vp-540 about .75 year also runs great use them all the time no major issues just normal cleaning , blade replacements, ect.
this would be the stuff i have done it alot with my roland
material isn't cheap but works good
also make sure you check which material you get one is made specifically for outdoor use one is not
i have had some alignment issues when cutting prints but usually print is the correct size give or take .010"
i am also using the edge 1 not the fx but they are basically the same inside
we have a gerber edge, versacamm sp-300v and versa camm vp540

just started my first wrap this past week end after about 5 hours 1/3 done all i can say is i hate them
but if you are going to do them you need a lot of hands on practice
seminar or class is great to get information
but i think the more hands on you can get the better

and printing on new rolls of vinyl and the first 12" or so have your finger prints or you can see where the tape was that kept the roll from unrolling
