I download the demo and tried it out with my Mimaki JV3 and was pleasantly surprised with it. The folks from Caldera where great and quick to answer any questions and the software seemed pretty robust. If I was keeping this printer I would indeed switch over to this RIP. Thanks, Kurt

Yup, Indeed. We actually now have a $100 minimum order due to this sort of crap. I am not going to sit down and waste time on some silly little project and not make any money nor and I gonna sit an argue with someone who walks in the door and think all you do is push a button. Not gonna do it...

I think the Mimaki is essentially a print/cut version of the JV33. If that is the case hands down. We have a Jv33 and that thing is solid, I absolutely love it! Supposedly the Rolands don't need ventilation, the Mimaki I am sure they suggest it as the inks in those can get a little strong if...

Personally I feel like Mimaki's are built more for production than a Roland. I haven't used any of Rolands higher end printers either so I could be wrong. The biggest thing I would suggest is not getting a print/cut machine as it is very limiting. If one breaks, they are both broken, you can...

Morning bump!

Still got nothing. It seems the capping station is fine. It is just not getting any ink to the cyan heads for some reason. Would the pump be the next thing to look at? I did pull ink to the damper and there was some air in the lines but it isn't doing anything. Any other ideas to try? Thanks...
