  2. Working on my first vehicle wrap

I looked at your website, and your work looks very nice, i'm puzzled why your own logo lacks any real imagination? if a customer came to you for a logo design and wanted to incorporate some random trademarked image into their logo (lets say they wanted their name on the harley davidson shield)...
  3. Gotta love the people at zoning...

our city has some of the most inconsistent sign by-laws i've ever seen, depending on how they feel like classifying your sign, the second side may not count towards the total square footage. Unless the sign is for the city, than the bylaws don't matter. They just recently put up a new sign...

  10. WOW, as in WOW, ever have a gun pulled during a job interview????

I fail to see how a pistol is a tool that is needed for everyday use, a hammer is a much more commonly used tool, but I don't see anyone carrying a hammer on their person every time they leave the house. I will agree that the bad areas of town up here are nothing compared to what i have seen...
  11. WOW, as in WOW, ever have a gun pulled during a job interview????

I would think a sane rational person would steer the conversation like this: Interviewer: I love guns Guy guy: Me too, I love my__________ It's with me wherever I go Interviewer: Nice piece, mind if I have a look But not being a gun guy myself, i'm not sure of the proper etiquette

Not sure about flexi, but in corel, the tool you are looking for is called envelope
  13. A stupid question about lamination

you can mix the 2 products, no need to worry, I wouldn't expect it to prolong the life of the decal, it's more the help stop damage from minor abrasion, it certainly won't shorten the lifespan. If you are really concerned, go with a 2 mil cast laminate, the cost isn't much more but it won't...
  14. what would you do

fair points, it's not uncommon for customers to not ask us for a quote, But I can see how we may have dropped the ball on this as well.
  15. what would you do

I have a customer that orders interior signage from me from time to time (wayfinding ada type stuff). He is a door company and I guess he sells the signs to his customers as a extra service. 2 weeks ago he came into the shop with a PO in hand and a list of signs he needed for a new building...
  16. Fun with Vectorization

i don't think that image would lend itself to being vectorized anyways, perhaps the vector doctor can chime in.
  17. Black Friday Deals?

We don't have black friday here, but every year we get the stories on the news about someone trampled to death by a bunch of idiots trying to get a deal. i don't care if they are giving stuff away, it's not worth the hassle from what I can gather. It seems to bring out the worst in humanity

  19. A Yellow Pages question - sort of

My father uses the YP website sometimes, but he isn't very computer literate. I'm under 30 and I haven't used YP in either physical or digital form for at least 10 years.
  20. New take on things................... what's yours ??

We are also using email to send invoices to customers, we find we have been getting paid quicker now than we were when we mailed them. That could be in part to Canada Post being notoriously slow (it once took 14 business days to send a letter 15 miles up the road). We also looked at our...
