  1. Fonts going SLOOOOOWWWW.....

Does Corel come with a font manager (heard it did?) If so.... I'll have to go dig to find what I did with my Corel pack. Or do I need to buy something else?
  2. Same old subject "3rd Party vs OEM"

Color aside (my profiles are screwed anyways).... my 2 issues were: 1. smell 2. Durability You can't deny the smell. If you run solvent printers, you know the smell. I wasn't used to that, and my shop is too small for the smells. I'll try to get pics of this customers banner that...
  3. Same old subject "3rd Party vs OEM"

I am not blaming my printer breaking down on the Lava inks, but it's perfectly obvious that they weren't as good as my OEM inks. Maybe I got a bad batch, who knows. But it was clear to me and anyone who compared the prints side by side.... that OEM was far superior. Maybe it's different for...
  4. Lines in prints again!!!!

    Nope nope nope.
  5. Lines in prints again!!!!

I guess it IS a Falcon. Never replaced my capping station.... so might have to order one next week. I used Lava inks for just under 2 weeks. My prints were just not satisfactory, so I switched to OEM, and voila' .... more problems. Not sure if the Lava Inks were the problem, but they might...
  6. Same old subject "3rd Party vs OEM"

I have only used Lava and OEM in my Mutoh. My opinion is: 1. Lava inks put out far more smell than the OEM. 2. Colors are more vibrant with OEM. 3. Colors hold considerably better with OEM than Lava. IMO, you get what you pay for. I never even used all of my Lava inks, ended up...
  7. Lines in prints again!!!!

Drats..... It's a Falcon. Anyone know for SURE if they dampers are different? They look identical in the pics.... but dunno?
  8. Lines in prints again!!!!

Wait a second..... you mean my 48" printer isn't a Falcon II? It's a Prismjet, 48".... and they told me it was the Falcon II......... Is it an original!?!?!? You telling me I next day aired some parts that won't fit my printer!!!!!!!! Those dampers won't work!?!?!?
  9. Review of Lava Inks

I'd like to also throw in.... they don't last as well. I printed 2 banners with my original inks, and 2 weeks later, the exact two with my lava inks. The older ones had a MUCH richer black color to them.... and the new ones, would have the ink rub right off of it!!!! It was like I was using...
  10. Lines in prints again!!!!

Ok, head height wasn't it. I have ran powerful cleanings and have soaked the print heads with a lint free cloth and cleaning solution. Phil Bennet at SW thinks there's some clogging going on BEFORE the ink hits the heads, thus the dampers being all nasty. Especially after running the lava inks...
  11. Lines in prints again!!!!

Maybe I should ask..... how do you set your head height??? I've never messed with that before????
  12. Lines in prints again!!!!

I'll try it tomorrow. If nothing else, it's time for dampers. SW said to replace them once a year. So if nothing else, I need them replaced. I can't take a pic right now, but it looks like the other pic that got posted. Lines through the cyan and black. A good chunk of lines. Oh yeah, and this...
  13. Lines in prints again!!!!

I am running a 48" Falcon.... is that considered a Junior? They didn't offer anything but just "damper" :(
  14. Lines in prints again!!!!

Yup. I'm next day ordering some dampers.
  15. Lines in prints again!!!!

All the website says is "ink damper". No choices. Are all of them above the head the same, or are they different?
  16. Lines in prints again!!!!

Just was talking to a tech, and suggested replacing the dampers. He was almost positive that's my problem. My printer is 15 months old... and never had those replaced. Anyone know a good source to buy them from other than GEI, and do you think I can install them myself?
  17. Type Style ??

lol. Oh my..... there is someone else out there that still has Scrawlin stuck on their computer. :Big Laugh
  18. greetings from www.esigns.com

Confusing.... purely confusing. But I must apologize for the slam esigns. I was unaware of you having already dealt with Fred. And while I still disagree with your business model, it doesn't matter as I was a touch out of line in my greeting of you.
  19. Real fire CD?

So you've never bought clipart or went to istock? Lots of shops spends thousands every year on this stuff, because it improves production and translates into.... profits. I'm not copying anyone's work BTW. Hope it didn't sound like I am.
  20. Real fire CD?

Refer to post #13. Yes, you could draw them yourself in PS, take a picture, etc. Heck, anything Fred sells for clipart, I could make myself. But by having it already to go, no work involved... it saves time, and makes you money. For example. A clipart of a horse. It might take... oh, 15-20...
