Whoah now, take 'er easy cowboy. I'm not out to hurt anybody. Thought stuff like what I'm offering could come in handy to people. :peace!:
  2. Lines in prints again!!!!

Warranty is up. No help there. No clue where or what the encoder strip is (Sorry........ still a bit of a newb). Mind explaining further? Tech said he doubted that it was the nozzles because in different nozzle checks, the lines were in different patterns. So technically they all fired, just...

  4. Lines in prints again!!!!

This is in solid colors. I tried print 8" x 8" squares of C,M,Y,K That's when you most notice it. Pure vectors. Also get lines through them when doing a nozzle check.
  5. Lines in prints again!!!!

Alright, I have an old Mutoh Falcon Outdoor II 48". Running Flexi 8. Ok cool, we got that down. Problemo is..... I am getting white lines in cyan and black. Most noticeably in black. I have tried atleast a dozen cleanings (both regular and powerful), have soaked the heads for a combined...

  9. Help with Laminator Ding-Tec BU-1600C IIZ 60”

Weird.... I bought the cheaper model and I've laminated 12'-14' prints, 48" wide with it. It's been good to me so far?
  10. Help with Laminator Ding-Tec BU-1600C IIZ 60”

For the Dings, unwind the the tensioners on both ends of the machine. Then tighten down on one end until it hits a "fee spot". Like 2-3 turns where it's just free play, no tension. Do the same with the other side, so they both have a little free play... and you should have perfect tension.
  11. can i add a jpeg to my flexi color profile

True. But it won't come out well. You'd have to spend some time with the jpeg to make sure it tiled correctly. If it doesn't tile correctly, is it even worth using?
  12. can i add a jpeg to my flexi color profile

LOL. You can't. Some color basics. There are solid colors, gradients, and patterns. A solid is just that.... a solid color. One shade. A gradient is one color shifting to another, and sometimes to another and another. A pattern is a shape, or a group of shapes, made to repeat in a...
  13. Here's my story

So you bought $20K worth of equipment, without knowing anything about it or the industry? You'll REALLY be needing this site then. LOL Welcome!
  14. ColorSpan or Gerber Solara?

I don't own one, but talked to a dealer who sold both. They were really pushing the Solara. Saw prints from them both, and the Solara had some really nice looking prints. If their price is similiar (can't remember pricing), I'd go with the Solara.
  15. Kinda New, Mostly Not...

Welcome! Quick word of advice... ditch Vista. Save you a WHOLE lot of headaches. So ditch it... and ditch it FAST!
  16. Still dont know what im getting into

Did you just "get into" signs and graphics? If so, you did so by buying a large format printer? WHEW! That's insane. Good luck bro', you have a HUGE learning curve ahead of you!
  17. pinting copy of a 30" x48" $100 bill

If I remember correctly, fold the bill. Scan half of it. The re-fold and scan the other half. Merge them in photoshop. Do some slight changes to the bill, and that might work. Not sure, but I tried to do a "money helmet" once, and yeah, PITA. Look for a vector version of a $100 bill. One...
  18. What Software?

I second that. X3 is the way to go. I bought mine for only a couple hundred bucks.
  19. am i reaching for trouble by installing X3 & cdr9?

Personally, I think 9 & 10 were the worst versions. But 8 rocked, and X3 is awesome. I see no need to have both installed though, but if it's what you want, no worries. I have 8, 10 and X3 all installed on the same system, and have yet to have an issue.
  20. New member bought machine to make stencils
