  1. Flexi: how to keep cuts in production manager AFTER cutting...just in case?

Personally... I always delete my jobs manually. Like for decals, set them up for one good run of say, oh... 100-150. Print them off, cut them, and then run the same file over again. And just keep doing it over and over, but it only shows as one job file in production manager, not 8, 10, 20 etc...
  2. Flexi: how to keep cuts in production manager AFTER cutting...just in case?

Go to production manager, right click on your plotter on the left hand of the screen. Scroll down to default job properties. Then click on the second tab over to the right (should look like a piece of paper with a green arrow on it), and in the middle of that screen should be something that says...
  3. Trying to figure out what cutter to get.

Think of it this way, a 12" calvin sticker may go for $5-$10, for one client. A 12' sign, may go for $850-$1200, for one client. Less clients, more freetime, WAY more money. Get into stuff that pays. :thumb:
  4. A sign to ponder?

Um.... let me guess. Somewhere, right below your hairline, on the back of your neck...... your skin is bright RED.
  5. Need KLIM font ASAP please

  6. Need KLIM font ASAP please

Need the font on this page of KLIMs website. http://www.klimusa.com/index.php Like where it says "learn more about the" Kind of a stencil font, but I can't seem to find it? Need the sign done in 48 hours, help would be appreciated! THANKS!
  7. Warranty

I had to make that same decision... and I chose NO. Reason being, my printer was running fine, and I had heard that in one year, it'd be highly unlikely to have that much in breakdowns. Depends on if you know your printer or not though. My first year..... I saved thousands. Now on my second...
  8. Adding pinch rollers?

Why? I want to be running 5 at a time for thicker materials. The material tends to buckle a bit from 10mil and up, so while I usually use 3 pinch rollers, I'd like to use 5 for the thick stuff.
  9. Adding pinch rollers?

Remembered a thread on here about this, but couldnt find it (must be tired.... or dumb). But anyways.... I have a Graphtec FC. I'd like to add 2 more pinch rollers to it. Is this something that only a tech can do, or can I do it? If I can do it, is it easy? And where would I find them, are...
  10. corel outline question

You don't want to use the outline tool. That does nothing towards creating a true vector outline. What you want to do is use the CONTOUR tool. That adds an outline, but it's a full vector outline, not just a line value. You can also create an outline and then click arrange-convert outline to...
  11. Not ready for the deep end, just the kiddie pool for now.

I actually suggest dumping SignLab and sticking to Corel, but that's just me. For SignLab tutorials.... good luck bro. Try googling it, but I'd say that's going to be quite a bit harder to figure out.
  12. Need HELP cutting in half?

In production manager, just tell it how wide your material is, and it'll cut in half for you. You can even set the overlap width if need be. But it's all in the production manager, you don't need to do it in Flexi itself.
  13. Not ready for the deep end, just the kiddie pool for now.

The library should have plenty of books on CorelDraw. I'd say get to know that program. Most graphics guru's know it, and there are literally THOUSANDS of tutorials for it on the web. Just google "CorelDraw Tutorials", and you'll find both free ones and complete packages for low prices...
  14. My Trouble with SAi............

Well, to design and then rip, it's just as fast with CoCut and CorelDraw, as it is with Flexi and it's own rip. It works the same, it comes down to which program is easier to design in. I think Flexi has a nice RIP, and it's production manager works pretty well. But for designing, it pales in...
  15. My Trouble with SAi............

Scanvec Amiable. You know, the guys who make Flexi?
  16. Real fire CD?

HUH? You don't even paint dirt bikes, you put graphics on them. Rods and Customs, sure. You airbrush those, but I'm not even interested in that market. Actually, not even interested in doing that many bikes with this. Thinking more wraps, boards etc? Sorry, just sorta confused me there.
  17. Real fire CD?

This is an OLD, and I mean OOOLLLLDDD.... thread. Yes, I've gotten my technique down a little better.
  18. My Trouble with SAi............

Hmmm.... fun. Looks like someone shares my sentiments about SAI. Luckily haven't had any major issues in a while, but I can tell you SAI was of no help when I had problems. Believe it or not, SignWarehouse helped me through it all.
  19. Clipart help

    Could always re-draw them....???
  20. Roland PC-12 - pros/cons of purchasing

Nooooooo Like he said. They are slow, break down a lot, cost around $8 a square foot for inks, and have almost zero tech support. They are a dying, er, excuse me, ALMOST DEAD printer that isn't worth much more than a paperweight.
