I tried that once and when I popped the old cartridge back in it refused to accept it saying ink end, so I dont do that anymore. I continue to use OEM inks as I just cant be bothered to put up with possible BS by switching to bulk or using cheaper 3rd party cartridges.
Since the beginning my Mimaki jv3130spII has a small window of time to change empty ink cartridges while printing. Once the machine indicates it is out of ink I have about 10 minutes to change it or else I get an error beep; when I resume printing and sometimes I see about 1 pass missing or in...
I have a tinting company that brings me his frosted vinyl and I do his setups and then cut all the graphics. Roll it back and he does the rest. I make very good money doing that and if I could do it all day I would be pretty comfortable not having to supply material.
The catch here is that...
When I use the make path function on lettering or objects with an inner shape the software never knocks the colour out. Is there some new way of doing this as I am finding it frustrating to continually make the insides of letters white manually.
Oh wait I now find if I change the shape to a...
I thought about modeling and hit it with a heat gun but still it is there.
here is a pic, you can see it.
what burns my azz is that it is us, the final stage of completing a sign that has to deal with it. You think if i call my supplier they will do anything to compensate me? How about...

I don't think any other business puts up with more product garbage than our own.
I have a large job to do and a fair bit is due tomorrow morning. I printed everything pristine and high quality. I came in saturday night to laminate it all so that it would be ready to go this...
Can you see the printer in production manager?
Sometimes my flexi has a problem with drivers and does not know I have a cutter....rare but happens
Make sure you save the files the way you sent them out for print so if you have to send cut only after you figure out what the problem is you...
this is true and I have had outgassing problems with polycarbonite in the past and have steered clear of it ever since. Makes one wonder how you would not get outgassing?
If I remember correctly, I had to sandwich the vinyl with a thin layer of polycarbonite clear over the graphics to protect...
i AM LIKE YOU GINO.... I actually like the stuff... Like drinking a good italian or french salad dressing:rock-n-roll:
If this stuff is good for acid reflux then I will be on it for life. I just wish I had heard about it earlier.
Adrian... it is good for gout!!! .. You can dilute it...
I know there are a few health gurus on this site and I just found out in the last 2 weeks of the amazing things this vinegar can do for you. I initialy started taking it as it is good for Gout, but now find it's good for just about anything from what I read online.
I have no problem taking it...
can I apply this same marketing strategy to regular signage? How about decals that are cut crooked or printed at the lowest possible resoultion and 1 pass.
Only in the sign industry could something like this happen.
Gradients spell trouble for me.
I have a file sent to me and the designer has the pms colours set. One colour blends to the next colour so there is no real easy way for me to be able to change the colour to one that more closely resembles the pantone due to the constant colour shifts in the...
All I ask for every year is a lousy 1 week off to go down south golfing. I work like a bugger 3 weeks before to clear everything and when I return I work like a bugger to catch up.
This year I am pretty sure i did 2.5 weeks worth of work the last week before I left and finished everything...
My Graphtec electric eye stopped working long ago. I just fake it out every morning on startup. I cover both sensors with a piece of vinyl and set the rollers out as wide as they can go and let the machine think I am running 53" vinyl all day. The only problem with doing that is you have to...
I'm sorry James. I was just so blown away by this I felt that I had to, besides I must have some form of alzheimers lately lol. I cant seem to rememeber a lot of things ..... Thanks again:thankyou:
When I wrote the thread about putting my dog down, I received a private message from James Burke and he wanted to know my dogs name and when she was born. He said he was going to send me something.
I was off last week on holidays and returned to find a small but heavy package on my desk. I...
