I eat the exact same thing almost every day. 2 eggs for breakfast, salad or peanut butter toast for lunch. I snack on pretzels. If I'm lucky, my sister brings me a sub from Subway on Thursdays. Friday's I eat out. Very, very boring.
I really like how Oracal weeds so I find myself gravitating to that...Oracal 751. I also use 3M 7125, sometimes Avery but I'm not a fan of how it weeds.

I also have a storefront and it's so darn hard to maintain hours since it's just me. I feel like I'm constantly "closed for an install" or "opening late for an estimate". It's not reasonable to assume I can hire someone just to sit here in case I need to leave. I'm not sure how to handle this...
I get this all time, drives me nuts some days! I had a guy come in on a Friday morning expecting me to stop what I was doing to put decals on his ATV cover. I laughed at him on accident.
Cut vinyl, I always carry that red and blue and I have another customer who uses a dark gray so I have them all in stock. Tape up the blue and the red to get the correct spacing, apply the blue first and the red and gray will be easy to line up.
This is what I tell my boys and it was told to me. You will never get rich punching a clock 40 hours a week for someone else. You don't need to have a college degree or rich parents to get ahead. If you're not going to college to be something extraordinary, you better be handy! Go to tech...
I started my business doing race cars and soon found out they are a pain to install. Some cars are new...others are dented, etc...ugh. I will do some graphics but I refuse to install them. The worst part is they always wait until the last minute to come in and expect you to have decals for the...
Ughhh...I've had a couple jobs like that too and wanted to cancel but since I'm still 'new', I finished them. I have a customer now that I'm having issues with. First few jobs he paid right away but the jobs were nothing but drama, current job for about $700...still waiting almost 3 weeks now...
I feel bad...I have been turning down some "crappy" type jobs or jobs that require a lot of leg work or vendor searching because I'm extremely busy. I turned down an ATV hood this morning - he wanted it done today (I laughed at him). He wanted a complete template cut that fit around curves, etc...
A lot of customers bring up politics. I don't dare make comments either way - a couple of them have tried REALLY hard! If I know they are on the same political side as me, I might lightly agree but I don't want anyone leaving the shop and telling others they had this in-depth conversation with...
I had a nimrod give me a 4 star rating and he hadn't even been in my shop. A few weeks later he came in and needed some decals for his truck. He kept changing his mind, calling me, emailing me, etc. Did the job and he keeps calling me about little decals and how much is this and that and never...
I'm just one person so I prefer to use paper and I use job boxes so I can carry them around the shop depending on what I'm doing. My work order is old and I copied it from someone years ago - I don't fill in any of the pricing info because it's in my accounting program but I track materials and...
I'm having difficulty finding something close since it's so outdated. "Calligraphy" type font right? This looks like it was hand painted, not computer generated. No cursive, has to be printed like shown.
Wasn't there a font in the 80-90's similar to this? I can't find it or remember the name...
My Dad. He's the hardest worker I ever met and he never gave up on anything. He can fix just about anything, he has a contact person for everything, he talks to anyone no matter who they are or what they look like. He hates excuses and expects more from me than I can do. He expects perfection...
The current cars were done using printed vinyl, non-reflective so I'm basically just matching up the yellow as close as I can. I use 3M currently for the few jobs I do so perhaps I should just stick with what I'm used to. Thank you!
