Can't go wrong with the FLAAR Doc. He's about 2 hrs away from the "D". PM me what company you're looking at buying from. I'm from the Detroit area and may know the shop. There are some undesirables out there.
  2. Banner hemming welding system?

I have a uniplan, which I love. It's slow and annoying at times, but great way to up-sell welded hems instead of taped. I also up-sell webbing in the hems. I wouldn't use it for a large banner orders. It's fine for a one off, or a couple banners, but if I had to do a large run of them...

  11. Roland SP540v

if you can, get one with a battery backup. It won't keep the machine running if there is a power failure, but it will condition the electricity and prevent restarts during brown outs, which is horrible. I've had brown outs on 45' banners that are nearly done. I'm glad I had a battery...

  13. Roland SP540v

If the network lines aren't protected a surge could go from one computer to another via the network cable and fry the card. Granted a printer should definitely plugged into a surge protector that has more amp protection than what the machines consumes.

Saw it. Took me a second because I was looking for something naughty at first.
  18. Roland LEJ-640 VersaUV LEJ Hybrid UV-LED Flatbed Inkjet Printer

I like that they are breaking into this market, but the machine misses the mark. I talked to roland a lot about this machine. They want to sell it for acrylic and leather printing, package prototyping, etc. You can't run any large boards through it and if you do it's SLOW. Can't run a...
