Marlene TOO FUNNY
Jill i think we have found another person that you and i can sponsor with our clothing line.
i have never seen proof that he did or did not..but the rumor is that Paul Sr paid discovery $100,000 to film and air the...
many sign suppliers used to stock them for small screenprinters to split the backing on decals...so if there is a glass case in your supply house take a peak and they might have one sitting in there collecting dust..i can think of more than a couple supply companies that have had the same one...
oh my goodness there's a tear running down my face that etched vinyl is being referenced as glass work...sigh....
and jbd i'm very familiar with your work ... you are a tremendously talented craftsman.
there is plenty of glass work for those with the skills...there just aren't very many...
my first question would be why are we using masonite?
but whatever..you are going to have to encapsulate it, spar varnish would be one way of doing so...but again i'd really rather use a different material.
the only sign i will touch anymore is if it is a glass piece or an antique restoration...i'll just teach other's how to make the other signs and more importantly how to make money making them ;)
as stated all proprietary software. there are a few people that i know of that service and support a couple of the manufacturer's systems that have gone out of business.
we need to know manufacturer. model numbers and that should get us started to identify what the situation is.
i;ve...
i have on multiple accounts had to resurface hdu and then reroute, usually the depth of carving is less than 3/4" so depending on the thickness of the substrate you can sometimes you can save yourself from having to purchase a new sheet..just a suggestion or a solution to file away between your...
is the substrate thick enough and the lettering shallow enough that you can mill it down and reroute? i know you are not looking for a solution..but just want to make sure the option was not overlooked.
lol that's funny Jamie i know of DAK sending leads to sign companies on projects that were quoted that were not closed immediately so they passed the lead onto other sign companies in the area, the only problem was that both sign companies knew each other well and worked together on projects on...
daveb you are not the only person to have experienced that with DAK.
and yes to all the above regarding wireless...all of the big boys that quote you the message board will be familiar with wireless.
when they all first started offering wireless it was 'buggy' and frustrating to say the...
i have seen a few companies offering printed true fire vinyl but if that is what you need i would just pick the exact style/art you want and have it printed..i don't know of any specialty film from a manufacturer or distributor that is available. i just looked through the color charts i have...
pacific coast paint aka pacific coast sign supply used to sell it by the yard...i am not sure if they still do or not but would be worth an inquiry imo.
i haven't noticed this..what i have noticed is many shops that are trying to sell themselves as 'quality' shops when they are seriously lacking in the design arena, or the fabrication arena, or the installation arena or the absolute worst in my opinion masquerading as having the knowledge and...
hey at least you were honest enough to tell us that you don't fabricate the product yourself...
what really troubles me about this in regards to this product (and taking you at your word that the letters you are outsourcing are UL Certified) is that there is no way to check the authenticity...
image i don't wish tough times on anyone..trust me you aren't alone. i am in contact with approx 300 sign companies on a regular basis...times are tough for many.
i would much rather use 1/2" or 1" expanded pvc myself.
i've applied more exact to size oddball shape decals than i care to remember. if you can apply prior cutting obviously it is easier..but applying to a cut shape is not a big deal. mask your graphic so that you minimize any stretching if...
