  1. Possibly greatest elec. guitar solo ever? PRINCE!

I think Prince's guitar prowess is often overlooked because of his "flakeyness" but I have always thought of him as one of the underrated greats on the electric. Good post. Never saw that one before. As for greatest guitar solo. You opened up a can of worms my friend... Say what you will...

  6. Will filiment knifeless tape work here?

I have to do some boat stripes for a client of mine. There are three varying width stripes around the fly bridge that have corners, tapered widths and are on a sloped surface so I can't just cut a tapered stripe for them. I was watching a demo of the knifeless tape (never used it) and...
  7. Service call message?

Mine did the same thing twice last week. I heard a click sound when it was cleaning on warm up and I got the Service Call message. Turned it off again and it worked fine both times.
  8. Cutting Laminated Decals

Not sure what measurement you are referring to in your numbers, but if it is grams of downforce, my guess is you are way too low. I run a different machine (Roland) but when cutting 210 lam on 3551 I use 160 grams of downforce with a 60 degree blade.

Today marks the first annivesary of my first business. North Shore Signs & Graphics started on June 6, 2011 No surprise to you veterans I'm sure- the first year was a lot of hours working, a lot of head scratching, a lot of wasted material, and a little cursing. However, it has exceeded my...

  14. Conflicting Advice to Newbies

That is some great perspective. Please know that my OP wasn't trying to discourage people from giving the advice of learning somewhere else, but more of a question to people with employees if this seems productive to the big picture of your business. I guess if I were to disect it even further...
  15. Conflicting Advice to Newbies

First of all, let me give where my perspective is coming from on this. I own a one-man shop with no employees. Been in full-time business for about 1 year now. I am learning on my own and with the help you fine people. I was reading another current thread about a newbie with big plans to...
  16. Beer!

I guess it surprises me because my best friend grew up near the brewery in England- Walked by it every day on the way to school. When he introduced me to it it was near impossible to find (at least around here) although it has gotten easier. So from my perspective it has always been a beer that...

  18. dirtbike graphics

I just did my first kit last week with My SP-300V as well. And I ended up almost maxing out my downforce, making two passes, adjusting the blade protrusion (adding to it) and I still had to go around the edges manually with a blade.- The Lam is VERY thick. However, the finished product turned...
