  1. FC7000 plotter acting up...HELP!

Good catch. Something I might need if(when) mine starts to fall apart. wayne k guam usa
  2. My Custom Fuses for Roland Printers SP300v - Sp540v. How-to parts list.

They are probably thinking along the lines of protecting end users from themselves. If the fuse were easy to change and kept blowing, instead of finding the fault the customer might keep upping the amperage until something really expensive fried. wayne k guam usa
  3. Fun little house sign

Looks good :thumb: Did you use a mirror to sketch out those hairy nuts?... wayne k guam usa
  4. FC7000 plotter acting up...HELP!

Maybe check the blade holder to see if it is worn out of round/loose blade or gummed up with bits of material. wayne k guam usa
  5. eco sol max inks safe?

I tried to see if I could get the solvent to burst into flames with my propane wrap torch - it would not burn. If you can't smoke it, it must be safe....... Wayne k guam usa
  6. Shop Drawings ?

You could set up your base layer with all the needed info blocks and save it as a template. Start a new file using the template and then do your artwork on a new layer. wayne k guam usa
  7. New VS Old..

there is a clue in the image title for the one on the right...... I think you are right about the readability between the two. Too many things going on in both. wayne k guam usa
  8. Solvent street light banner material?

I think the fabric prints will fade away before the vinyl banner wears out. With the tropical sun around here fabric prints start to fade within just a few months. Feather flags at our local soccer field have to be changed out 3 or 4 times within a single year. With vinyl they need to be...
  9. Magnum magnets flying off vehicles

Upsell them with the optional installation kit (1 kit per door). wayne k guam usa
  10. how can i make this bigger and not look like crap?

Could have been bigger! If you loosened up the kerning a little you could have stretched it enough to wrap around to the front and have both sides meet in the middle of the grill...... If the customer is happy with the job then it's a win win. wayne k guam usa
  11. 3m ij35c

IJ35C does have the marks on the liner IJ35 comes in a 3M marked shipping box but does not have the 3M marking on the liner. The quality of the 35 does seem lower than the 35c, mine even comes in without the sealed plastic baggie inside the box. Maybe they sent you the non-comply IJ35...
  12. Canvas size in Illustrator

Well if they don't want to deal with scale open the illy file in Photoshop and give them a flattened psd at full size. It will be pretty large if it can't fit within 227" wayne k guam usa
  13. Want opinions on banner design

I usually love your layouts SM but this one is a little hard to read. I think you need to put all the text in an arch. Maybe the top two lines in a tight positive arch and the bottom one reversed. wayne k guam usa
  14. New 360 coming... now I have cold feet

Sounds like once you plug it in you can prop your feet up on it and get rid of the cold. Good luck with the new gear. wayne k guam usa
  15. Mutoh problem E072

Most common problem with this error is the T fence. It is the plastic strip that runs behind the print carriage. It lets the head know where it is on the platen. Periodically it needs to be cleaned to remove the ink overspray. It does not need to be removed for cleaning, use alcohol & water...
  16. Dirt/dust on prints.

Buy some new ones. When the rollers start to fail all kinds of stuff can happen to the print and it can be hard to track down until you change out the rollers and it goes away. Once one or two of them give up the rest lose the will to live & stop turning. My rollers started to get gummy and...
  17. print sticking on take up - Any thoughts??

I don't have the same setup but have run into this when printing eco solvent onto gloss heavyweight photo paper. There was no way to get it dry enough to not stick using the take up reel. Not a solution, but I ended up letting it run out onto the floor and cutting each copy as it finished and...
  18. New logo before moving

If Apple had not patented rectangles with rounded corners you could have a cutting edge circle-square hybrid....... wayne k guam usa
  19. How many times do you forget about the take up reel (before it's too late)?

If you keep an end roll with 3 or 4 feet of material left on it loaded onto your take-up reel you can tape the new print to it before starting the new job. Might not work on all printers but I need a few inches sticking past the platen so the head does not catch on the free edge if it curls up...
  20. 3M Printable Vinyl 54" Recommendations

Yes. We've gotten into the habit of laminating most all of our prints on vinyl, even the POP stuff that only has to last 30-60 days. Makes for easier install and handling by the customer. wayne k guam usa
