  1. new business : devices skinning

Before we get into brand discussion.... what is your budget? There are some printers for 11K.... and some for 70K. I will venture and say if you're looking for a eco-solvent printer, your best bet would be a VersaCamm. Run you about $11,000 american dollars. But there are many...
  2. Software for Graphics pro but cutting newbie

The new CoCut should work fine with your software. There is WORLDS beyond just clicking a "cut" button. Trust me. Try CoCut out though, it's one of the easier ones to learn and it works quite well.
  3. Way ugly font. Know what it is?

Almost..... I think it's a VERY bold version of Dom Bold. I can atleast play with it now. THANKS SLAPAKISS!!!
  4. Way ugly font. Know what it is?

So.... anyone know what this font is? I can't find an exact match, all I have to go off of is a little sticker. Any takers???
  5. Convex Profile?

Whatchya using the convex for? Just outta curiosity. But anyways, for my Mutoh, I just use my regular profile for 3651 intermediate glossy vinyl... actually works good!

  7. little stickers

Or...... ME!!!! LOL Seriously though, you can have anyone with a digital printer make those up for you, and if you want 1000s of them, then someone like discount labels can help ya out.
  8. Newbie starting out in garage

I'm from the Vancouver area. PM me and we could have coffee sometime. :glasses: Could give you some tips in person. I'm not THE most experienced at this, but I do have a graphics business up and running and am making a living... so can help you atleast pointed in the right direction.
  9. Newbie needs advice

I'd suggest getting your hands on some software first. CorelDraw X3 is probably an awesome start. Play with it for a while, and then buy a package deal if you can find one for: - a 24" NAME BRAND plotter - Atleast 8 colors of vinyl, 15" or 24" - Cutter software (such as CoCut) - essential...
  10. Extreme Makeover - The Entries

I'd love if at the end of the contest, you put everyone's name next to their design. See who did what. Yeah, I agree what everyone's saying about the price. If anyone can make that #6 sign for under 1K.... they've lost their MINDS. But hey, it looks pretty cool. Not what I voted for...
  11. Rip & Print

Really? Can you view it in the screen or do you only see it when you print (the problem that is). If on the screen.... any chance of a screen shot?
  12. Rip & Print

Dude... on 36" media, you can only print (safely) 32" wide. Leave 2" on each side, because you have registration marks to deal with, as well as extra space for the rollers (you don't want the rollers to touch the registration marks". Shrink 'em down to being only 32" wide and that should fix...
  13. Trailors price please

In the words of the Easter Island statue from the new hit movie, "Night in the Museum".... "Hey Dum Dum, you can't double post post, dum dum..."
  14. sticker prices?

Not really. For that small of a quantity (250 per design) they'll rake him over the coals. It'd be more cost efficient to have a local printer do them for him than Stouse... UNLESS he gets into quantities of ATLEAST 500. Preferably 1000. For small quantities, Stouse sure charges you. Go to...
  15. Extreme Makeover - The Contest!

For Pete's sake.... I sent in 3! Do I have to do more???? LOL
  16. sticker prices?

If they're single color.... maybe $1.30 each. But if you're layering vinyl.... no way man. Tell him they have to be printed or you're not interested. Trust me.... that many small decals.... NOT FUN TO LAYER VINYL!!! I used to do hundreds upon hundreds of 4" 2 color decals. Living...
  17. sticker prices?

$0.80 each for a digital print on intermediate vinyl, with laminate, and contour cut and weeded. No app tape, simple contour cut only. Sub out the work, it's not worth your time to layer the vinyl.
  18. New Graphtec is here! Setting blade is taxing me.

The difference between pressure settings and blade depth..... The blade depth is how far the blade is sticking out of the holder. The further it's out, the deeper into the material it will cut. The pressure is how hard the blade is pushed down. The blade may be out a LONG ways... but with...
  19. Mutoh gurus can U help

Then that means it's time for a capping station. You just answered your own question!
  20. mutoh printer help please

Your pump is going then (if you are SURE it isn't the lines). What it's doing is causing a reverse vacuum, sucking some of the other colors into each other (in this case... probably cyan into yellow). Check 'da pump!
