we have not used a vendor since we have a 64" machine but our customers are the same way, we have "optically clear" lam and non lam on the window of the shop and the customer always goes non because the view is not "foggy" and understand that the life is reduced and will have to be cleaned...

yup, when testing we allowed a min of 24 hrs, usually printed on Fri. let sit over weekend and lam on Mon.

the other point to be aware of is you can go to the website of the vinyl manufacture and download their profiles for the machine that you are using. They will have already done the testing and will have a profile that "best fits" their material Finally as already suggested do your own custom...

While there is "optically clear" lamination. we have yet to see lamination that is as easy to see through as non-laminated.

we are running VS 640 and had this happen, it is the firmware being outdated or a cable loose to the control panel

the media also plays a factor what are you printing on? banners sometimes get the "white spots" do to head strikes and or printing on the wrong side as well as the head height.
