  2. Looking to buy laminator

Eco sol printing is, don't believe what the salesmen tell you, the ink still has VOC's that are released, just a lower amount than full solvent inksets. We run our roland eco sol printer in a pretty big, well ventilated room and we still will get headaches during long heavy coverage prints...
  3. Looking to buy laminator

if you are in an apartment, I would consider subbing out both the printing and laminating, i'm sure your neighbours won't appreciate the toxic fumes you are creating so close to their bedrooms.
  4. Dongle error when edge printing

I fail to see how that is an issue, I understand that software companies need to protect their product, but the measures they put in place to do so should not impact the users productivity. (i'm not talking about Gerber here, as i said in my earlier post, Omega gives you some warning at least)...
  5. Engraving Font ID

looks like this was done with a rotary engraver, most of them use propitiatory fonts (for example New Hermes version of "Helvetica" won't be exactly the same as Vision's version) We own a vision engraver and it looks to me like it is either "Helvetica1" or "gothic1"
  6. Dongle error when edge printing

We have the same problem sometimes with Omega, at least it gives you some warning, Our engraving program (re-branded sign lab) just shuts down when it can't find the dongle, no warning or prompt to save your work (i've made a few very angry phone calls to the tech support over this issue) Why...
  7. Sandblast Slate?

we laser engrave slate all the time, the laser can't get any depth really, but it does hold paint surprisingly well

We went on safari in Tanzania for 4 days and than to an all-inclusive resort in Zanzibar for another 4 days. best experience of my life!
  9. 3M IJ180C-10 with Oracal 210 Lam

Oracal 210 is a thick calendered laminate, you won't have much luck with compound curves, depending on how much value you place on your time, I doubt you will see too many savings. Try contacting BigFish, he is a merchant member here and he is known to have really good prices on media, I'm...
  10. Carrier sheet

I'm not completly sure what a carrier sheet is?
  11. Magnum Magnetics

looks like a bad batch to me, can you buy magnetic rolls with no vinyl applied? The vinyl they use is horrible and I want to apply my own cast white vinyl
  12. No Phonebook listing

we have our regular phone line at work, but we also have a voip line that we use for sales calls and long distance, costs about $25 for 6 months, it has dropped our regular phone bill by about $75 a month. Customers still call us on our regular line and we have a white pages ad. it works great...
  13. is decolit the be all in banner product for retractables?

We only use decolit for our pop-up banner stands, we tried a few others and weren't as happy as we were with the Decolit. All Graphics has a Rite-Media product that competes with decolit, but the last roll I got stuck to itself on the roll in a major way and jammed my printer as a result (you...

  15. What Macros Do You Use Most???

I've always wanted to dip my toe into the world of macros in coreldraw, do you have any recommended reading for a noob on the subject? Oh and Welcome for Canada!
  16. Like MC Hammer Says- "You Can't Paint This!"

despite all the negatives, i think the OP did a great job! I would have liked to see the white text incorporated into the image more, but as long as his customer is happy and he got paid all the more power to him!
  17. Some people just dont get it.

sounds like he is trying to make poor-man's solar blinds, i was considering doing this myself but with perf. banner material and printing black on one side for winter and painting the other side silver for summer. however, this website clearly states that the blinds will provide no night time...
  18. what do I do with this guy?

  19. Window Clings

how big of a cling are you looking for? if it's under 11.8" in one direction, anyone with a gerber edge should be able to do these for you no problem.
