  1. JETRIX Kx7 - Need Help

Reading your message, I am a little confused here. Have you tried a full restart of the printer and the computer?
  2. Do you have job descriptions?

Haha! Yeah, we mostly just use a crystal ball and some tarot cards... That and a few spreadsheets, constant communication with our vendors, accounting software, current jobs in the pipeline...
  3. Do you have job descriptions?

At FireSprint, we have really focused the last year on getting more information down in writing. This really helps our whole team communicate better. Here's a quick blog post I wrote about it: https://firesprint.com/blog/index.php/2022/07/01/sign-shop-job-descriptions-how-to-get-started/ Happy...
  4. New Hire Contract

Retro Graphics We have written job descriptions for anyone we hire, move, or promote. This is something we go through with everyone to make sure all parts of it are clear and if they have any questions. We don't use the term contract, but it is an agreement. In terms of an NDA or non-compete...
  5. Customer Instructions - DIY Vinyl install.

Bob's always good for some constructive criticism.:roflmao:
  6. Customer Instructions - DIY Vinyl install.

I would say that prepping the surface is something your instructions should have more clarity on. If they wrinkle to vinyl, or tear it, it's not hard to understand that was their fault. But if they apply it smooth, and it falls off a few days later, or starts to peel, you'll have a harder time...
  7. Help! Vinyl won't stick to a painted wall!

I have seen this thread over and over again, and while I have seen many answers, I feel like 3M has created a definitive guide (Bulletin 5-37) and a accompanying video to help answer the question Will it stick/Why doesn't it stick. I wrote a blog post to bring most of the information into one...
  8. Vutek GS3250 LX UD....can somebody explain to me how to print double sided coro and get it aligned?

I'll make a video, but basically you need 3 point registration ideally, and more importantly you need to register to the same 2 edges. This means setting stops on the opposite side of you bed and using those. Adjust the location in you rip/printer and you're off! Or we can do these for you...
  9. My printer went down Help Need two decals printed 12"x 18" for race car

    We can help! https://www.firesprint.com/fast-free-full-color-vinyl-decals/
  10. How many is too many...emails

I expected to see a bunch of rants on this thread, but there are genuinely some good ideas here. You're all speaking from a position of a business owner or production manager though. You must be able to delegate your time correctly.
  11. Ionizer bars, guns.

We have mounted a couple of keyence bars to the infeeds of our printers with good results.
  12. Printing United Expo 2022 Las Vegas

    Yeeesssss! Very excited!
  13. Recession

Keep adding value. Keep hustling. You'll be OK if you focus on your clients and get it every day. Especially as a small shop. Recessions are a great opportunity for those of us that keep pushing to improve every day.
  14. Hand Held Creasing Wheel

I was just going to suggest a screen door wheel, but you beat me to it. My wife makes fun of me, but if I have a few minutes to kill, I'll dally through the isles of a hardware store. There are often specially tools that can be re-purposed for our industry, but you'll have no idea what it...
  15. Source for oversize magnets

We like to run a high quality 020 because it contours better and lays flatter, especially on small magnet. We do alot more small magnets. If you set up the files though, we could do this in 020 if you wanted: https://www.firesprint.com/magnetic-42/products/
  16. First Time

    Welcome!
  17. Hello Everyone

    Welcome!
  18. MISys Manufacturing Software

Just curious if anyone here uses it? I'm not sure why, but I have not found an actual print/sign shop software that I like. Being a fairly high volume, low customization shop, we have more in common with a small manufacturer than we do a wrap shop when it comes to tracking our inventory and...
  19. Starting a print business

So first off, we can print stuff like this for you: https://www.firesprint.com/posters/products/ But if I am reading your post correctly, doesn't sound like you need a UV, Latex or Solvent printer like we use in the sign business. You might be able to get away with an aqueous printer for indoor...
  20. Cutting 3mil ACM - Colex SHARPCUT Pro SXC 1732

So it's odd, but one of the things we realized after a while on our zund is that we were cutting too slow. Just about every time, slowing down and running more passes leads to a cleaner cut and longer bit life, but not for our setup with ACM. We switched to a 2 pass and went as fast as we run...
