put together a file in photoshop of every imaginable similar color variant that you can. it will be about 50 little squares of lime. put them in a long line. triplicate the file so it is now three long rows of lime. saturate the crap out of the top row. keep the middle the way it looks good on...
also, look at the top bar where the file name is on your file window. what does it say? some color modes do not save as .jpg. you might have accidentally changed it to "index color" etc. switch it to grayscale, rgb, or cmyk and see if it saves.
iz kool rooster. i'd like to know what you know about color management myself. i have stuff in my rip that i'm like ????? some other day. i need to print.
i'm in the art business. and designers and art consultants often source graphics, reverse acrylic mounted panels, etc for hospitals and banks. i'd start with art consulting firms. that is a piece of cake way to get projects.

man rooster, that was not an answer. that was a diatribe. maybe sherry2006 isn't as technically gifted as you, but twice as creative??? who knows? ...this forum is not for telling people to get try harder. it's to help them.
sherry! color matching 101 (color for dummies. what i did many...
mimaki guy here. i'm in the process of switching to triangle inks and the first color i had to buy was Triangle Clean Yellow.
when i got the bottle i was astonished. it looked like a white-ish yellow. very "yellow" compared to the deep gold yellow dye that i was used to with roland...
well, i'm not a first time user. i've been an artist/master fabricator for 30 years. digital mixed media for 10 years. maybe i should have discussed in more detail that MEK has it's limits but also it's applications. all the above is true.
didn't say to wipe the head with the towel. just lay it there. on the moistened point. it's a delicate procedure. and ketones are compatible with the entire printer (except for the cheap plastic hull used on some printers). i make my own cleaning solution from butyl caritol, butyl...
damper filling
do you mean the tube that you used to draw ink at the pump doesn't fit the damper? you'll have to take the tube off and press the head of the syringe firmly up against the damper end, leaning it back so the ink fills the top of the damper, thus drawing air out first.
if you...
first take the head out. set in a small (very small) dish with just the printing platen submerged by about 1/16" of an inch. leave it here for a day or more. occasionally you can lightly place the head on a paper towel that has a medium sized spot of cleaning solution (acutally use MEK, because...
jv3 filling procedure///
on my 160sp dampers i tilt the damper backwards/down hill to let the ink run to the top of the damper while still pulling the air out. i never attempt to pull all the air out. but i easily could using this system. all my printers usually operated perfectly at the 80%...
you bought a bottle of butyl carbitol and acetone. i understand. i'll use my stuff for the next few months and do a final assessment of the properties. i've got a lot of experience working with coatings and chemicals developing my printing systems so it's a bit less mysterious. until then...
