  1. Real fire CD?

Um, cuz you could have about 50 of them, ready to use and on a disc so you don't have to go out and do all the work yourself. In the time it took you to photograph and edit 5-10 pictures, you would lose more money in loss of labor on OTHER stuff than the CD would cost you. That's how ALL of the...
  2. Real fire CD?

Ahem. Like I said, it would be cheaper cuz they wouldn't be layered files like Barry's. Barry does awesome work, and I don't meant to discredit him or undercut him. I simply want to creat a FILLS CD, like the one posted below... http://www.signwarehouse.com/CA-VE-p-CA-GL-SIGNFILHLP.html They...
  3. Real fire CD?

I sure have Doug. Mine would be a little different. For one it would be a heckuva lot cheaper. And 2, it would be cheaper cuz it isn't hand drawn stuff, only photoshopped photographs. You know, Taking digital photographs and then cleaning them up all purty in photoshop. That's all that those...
  4. Real fire CD?

As some of you may have noticed, I have a thing for flames and fire.:Big Laugh And I love making digital prints with the fire effect, but have noticed that those image CD's usually only have one or two on there. So... I was thinking of making my own signfills cd packed with, simply, fire. Fire...
  5. what font is this?

I was just gonna post that I thought it was Eurostyle, but I guess Fred beat me to the punch (sigh).
  6. what font is this?

eh..... I dunno. Looks kinda like a cross between Arial and BankGothic to me. I couldn't come up with an exact match though.
  7. What kind of plotter should I buy?

Depends on how much you want to spend. Graphtecs are my favorite, and are usually a good price. As a rule, I like to stay away from plotters named after animals or a guy in china. Summa and Roland are great machines as well.
  8. Ok, dumb one about fonts

google up fonts, and you will have plenty of options to choose from.
  9. Microsoft Expression: Graphic Designer

  12. A small printer?

Forget about getting a printer and start subbing stuff out. I offered digital printing for almost 2 years before I actually bought a printer. Let me build up a nice customer base, let me make good money without actually doing any work, and gave me time to afford new equipment when I DID decide...

  17. A small printer?

Signwarehouse has some small Mutoh's (ahem... prismjet's) that are pretty affordable. It all depends on what you call affordable though. Just keep in mind they are always going to cost more than a plotter, and a plotter can cost you $4,000 - $6,000 easily. So I would say if you want a good...
  18. What brand of vinyl do you use?

Like a lot of people on here, I try to stick with Oracal. The stuff is dirt cheap and good quality. I use almost their entire range of calendered vinyls and then keep 3 different styles of their digital printing media in stock, plus laminate. Great stuff.
  19. What kind of shop do you have?

Well, I'm working out of my house at the moment (um... about HALF of my house), and I seriously need to move. I have one of my laminators in my kitchen, one plotter and my printer in the living room, and the office is PACKED! I think I found a good building thought. About 1000 sq. ft. (not...
