  1. RAM question

Are your Adobe products 32 bit or 64 bit? I know that my new system has 16 gigs of RAM, but I need to upgrade my CS4 products (32 bit) to utilize the extra RAM... :(
  2. Verticle Banner stands ???

We use Creative Banner Assemblies and are pretty satisfied. We have had a couple product/part issues, but they have always warrantied/replaced the parts.
  3. Which printer HP Designjet 5000 or Epson Stylus Pro 9880

UV, latex or solvent inks. Read the manufacturer's specs on the printer & what the inks are rated for outdoors. Applying an outdoor laminate over inks & media that aren't rated for outdoors does nothing to help the inadequate materials behind it.
  4. Which printer HP Designjet 5000 or Epson Stylus Pro 9880

I would make sure that the printer is an outdoor ink printer. Having a printer that does posters for inside but nothing that will stand up to the elements isn't much of an addition to your tools.
  5. New Printer

I have had zero issues from my Epson GS6000 in a year and a half that I've had it. The Roland I used to use (SP540V) required much more cleaning & maintenance, parts, etc although the Roland was a few years old. The Epson is also twice as fast at printing & the quality is GREAT even at the...
  6. OK....After much work....

What is your opinion of 99% of the logos that customers bring into your shop that they created their selves? Got your answer? Ok, that is why you do not design your own logo. Doing work for someone else always seems to turn out better than your own imho. I think after getting some input...
  7. Gold Leaf Question

Many of the regular vinyl manufacturers sell "specialty" vinyls that include imitation gold Leaf. 3M Sells it through FDC, Avery sells it, Oracal, etc, etc. It can be hard to match sometimes; remember Leo's changes color after a couple years to be more dark/greenish.
  8. Large Sign Questions

We are ordering the formed pan face, I would like to be able to produce it in-house, but if we're not capable of it, I will have them produce the image also. With the 63" printer I couldn't think of how to print/cut it so that there wouldn't be (very visible) seams...
  9. Large Sign Questions

I recently undertook a project for a customer opening a new location, and I have a few questions about how to produce the end product. It is a VERY large sign (to me) at one pan-face panel of 7'x14'. This is a back-lit sign replacing an old face in an existing cabinet on the side of a...
  10. font used in Cincinnati

Any more ideas guys? I'd swear that I had the font years ago also, but no longer work where I had it then...
  11. Pricing ideas on 3M 8624 application on concrete wall?

I would estimate at around 1ft2 per 30 seconds myself. To get good confirmation & adhesion, especially the first couple panels. After that I would say the time could decrease. Your arms are gonna be hella tired if you're heating/rolling for 10+ hours straight. (after initial panel install)
  12. font used in Cincinnati

I'm looking to find the font used on the word Cincinnati in this image.
  13. Good script font to use

If you're looking for a couple decent free grunge fonts check out misprinted type: http://www.misprintedtype.com/v4/
  14. Page flipping in InDesign

Never tried it this way before, but it seems to be taking quite a while to print to a PDF "flipped", I think my ID is actually froze/locked also. This is on my week-old I3-2100 solid-state graphics PC... so there's a problem with ID somewhere. I would print a normal PDF, then make a new ID...
  15. White Cotton Gloves???

I use them and wash my hands pretty frequently also. It's just another step to be sure you're not wasting more material than you have to. (Especially printable reflective!) A pair of gloves usually lasts me about a month before they're too dirty to use anymore & I just keep them on top of the...
  16. Reflective Wrap?

3M IJ680CR is the way that was done or to do a similar job. We use it on the rear of vehicles for printed chevron striping. Goes into recesses well, stretches pretty decent for reflective; try not to lift/bend it much but doesn't show that bad when you do. It's suspensive though!
  17. Vehicle Templates

I have the Pro Vehicle Outlines collection from http://www.digitaldesignware.com & I love it. Some people will knock it, but I've not had a problem out of it yet. And, if the template is not on the DVD you receive, get on their website & download it or call them & they'll email it over to you in...
  18. Not much to go by

Anyone have an idea? It looks like VTKS style, but nothing on that site...
  19. Not much to go by

    ???? Can't find a font called ooops ????
  20. Not much to go by
