Any new "must have" tools introduced or major fixes?
I watched the "what's new" video and didn't see anything to get too excited about.

We are pretty close I run the pre at 90-92 the print at 94-96 and about 115 for the dryer.
With the 1304 I can mess with the temps as it runs to tweak things a little.

When I do these I lower the pre heat way down, print with the head in the high position and don't use the take up reel.
A heavy load of ink on the first side seems to soften up the banner material so that it tunnels easily when it is warmed up for the second side.
Not sure what the deal is...
Some pretty solid painting skills with a feel good story in the mix:

No expert here,
but we seem to be doing ok with V92 Polyester using a #20 needle for our 13oz and up banner materials.
You should be able to get it from an upholstery supply shop, when we run short we get it from a local boat shop that does sail repair - manufacture.
Lots of places on line...
Not sure if I'd rather be the guys who found the 10 cans of gold 20 dollar pieces or the guy(s) who inherited this:

For that loose corner just use a bungee cord with a hook through the grommet and the other end tied off, or screwed into the underside of your layout table.
If you set your grommets after you lay your vinyl use a squeeze clamp tied to the bungee cord.

OP
I think Gino was on the right track - when (& if) you go with a printer ask to see some samples of their smooth matte lay-flat banner material, it looks good both with or without hems.

1.If you can't do them dry without bubbles do them wet.
2. Search the web for correct squeegee use - practice with scraps until you can do them dry in your sleep.
