  3. Spraying Latex

You can get latex put in a spray can at Benjamin Moore..... doesn't last very long but does pretty good FME.
  4. banner hemming with tape

Yes this method!....but I tape the edge first, then pre-crease along the edge of the tape....its very easy to 'feel' where it needs to crease. Then peel off the liner, start in the middle and work your way down, pressing firmly. After it's all down, we use a J roller to press it to a nice crisp...

  7. Graphtec fc5100 contol panel glitches

Just happened to our VE Q54.....only 2 months old. It went off yesterday.....came back on later in the day somehow then went out again. I am setting my conditions blind. Not pleased at all and haven't had time to call SW for a replacement. The display is backlit, but no text appears.
  8. Error code when trying to print

I am suddenly getting an Error Code - 6 when I rip a job in Flexi (8.6) to my Roland SC-545EX. Anyone know what this is? Full error is "Caught Exception, Error Code - 6". Edit: I Can send a plot file and cut with no issue, trying to rip a print file is causing this.
  9. Are you voting?

If the independents (Green or Lib party) can garner even 10-15% of the overall vote this time, then I will be pleased. That means the breakdown of the 2 party system is finally underway. It will take a few more elections to get it more even, but that is fine. All I am saying.
  10. Production Software / Job List

We've recently converted to SignVox....it does that for you and more. Quite a learning curve going to this from Activity POS. It is a pain in some areas but for job status alone, it is good.
  11. need wall mount or some type of cutter

Fletcher has a model with an attachment for DiBond and thicker type substrates, if I'm not mistaken. EDIT: Found the model - FSC 65 http://www.fletcherviscom.com/FFSC/main.html
  12. Lamination question

I would not use a 60 unless it was really thick lam like Polycarb.... 45 does fine with most laminates; they are often thinner than the vinyl.
  13. Quick question please regarding Premium Vinyl that doesn't stick straight away.

And have fun removing any Oracal wraps in the future. Block out a day and a half for anything done with 3551.
  14. Looking for installer/printer in Orlando

Weird .... I post one time looking for an installer in Portland and it gets deleted and I'm chided by the admin.
  15. adjust feed calibration from versawork

In the JOB Settings.....there are 10 tabs vertically...Printer Controls has Feed, Vaccum, Dry Time and Head settings. You have to set for each job, each material is different.
  16. What vinyl to use?

I don't understand the appeal of thick vinyl. To me it bubbles worse than, say, a cast HP vinyl. And harder to get the bubbles out, even with a poker. Thickness does not help in application. It's the method of application that is important. If you're talking just a general type bumper sticker...
  17. corner rounding and notching?

This...cuts up to 6" notches.... Yes we have cool tools. EDIT: Just re-read....you were asking about rounded notches....my bad.
