  1. thanks gg - I'm finally sporting the new look:

I like it. How's it go on?
  2. Should I be upset?

It took me a couple of months to get mine, and when it came it was broken. But I have other printers so it didn't really matter. And I didn't put down a cent until it was running. I've also owned HP lf printers before and so know the company is a juggernaut that sometimes can not be...
  3. HP L25500 Technician Manual

I grabbed it too. Much appreciated.
  4. virus questions

How would you know if you haven't scanned it?
  5. Seal Image 62 plus laminator for sale

I had one of them for about 5 years. Awesome unit, rarely screwed up a print on it. They do hot laminating as well as cold which is another service you can offer. As you mention the only thing wrong with them is the speed. We bought another Seal, only faster.
  6. Fred: VIRUS ALERT

That's quite a statement. What antivirus protection are you using?
  7. Windows 7...I'm in Love

But what will your wife say when she finds out?
  8. Lowballers!! Aaarrgh!!!

There are a couple of places that do this mate. Those of us who speak English as a first language are already in front in customer relations.
  9. Lowballers!! Aaarrgh!!!

They are here. Ultra cheap banners are sold here and printed in Asia for peanuts. Trying to compete with this business model is futile. Compete on service and quality, not just price.
  10. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Yeah sometimes the printer tells me the carts are faulty and/or need reseating. I might even have to reseat them a few times but usually they come good. Designjets self diagnosis system can be a little too sensitive at times.
  11. No sheen heat transfer vinyl?

We use this stuff which is a nice matte finish, and cheaper than others we tried. Probably not too convenient but perhaps they will tell you where it might be available in the US. http://www.velflex.com.au/heatappliedmedia/proprint-pu.php
  12. Onyx upgrade not supported old printer

It's there. Download and install the Printer & Profile Download manager from their site.
  13. Wanting to buy a printer!!!

    So check the classifieds. http://www.signs101.com/pp-classifieds/for-sale/p882-mutoh-1304two-of-them-.html
  14. What do you give your select customers for the holidays?

A bottle of nice champagne or wine unless I know they don't drink. In which case an Amazon gift voucher. Believe me no Aussie will be insulted if you give them booze. And some gingerbread cookies my wife bakes. This is only for customers who spend over a certain amount with me during the...
  15. L25500 and Avery MPI1005

I'm fine profiling solvents and aqueous printers but this is a new kettle of fish. I'm still feeling my way. I got this info from here: http://www.onyxtalk.com/thread-hp-l25500?highlight=L25500
  16. L25500 and Avery MPI1005

Yeah I just tried that exact same profile and it seems nearly right but for a bit of fisheye in the dark greens. I'm running my own profile now using that as a base. What's KDOC stand for anyway?
  17. Color Management and the L25500

Set your light ink limits low. Like 15-20%.
  18. Since I was called out.......................

aww man. Do ya need a hug?
  19. L25500 and Avery MPI1005

That's the one I tried first. Something weird is going on.. I have my media rep coming in this morning hopefully he has some bright ideas.
  20. L25500 and Avery MPI1005

Is anyone printing Avery wrap vinyl successfully on their L25500? I'm in the process of testing and profiling a range of media on our new printer and have struck problems with the MPI1005. I'm getting some serious mottling in the darker colours, greens especially. One of the reasons for buying...
