Another trap for noobs is when you drop a job into a hotfolder and the media is too narrow the rip automatically shrinks it to fit.

I've had a D120 for four years and am selling to buy a D160 simply for the extra width. We had some issues reading the Opos marks but once we calibrated it for problem media it now works great.

You know the holes in the bracket where it attaches to the aluminium bar are slotted for adjustment.

We have 2 x XJs and their takeup reel looks the same. I think they are fantastic - we can print whole rolls without a hiccup.. so they mustn't be the same if you guys are having so much grief.

Check the output - can you tell what has been created on either platform? Didn't think so.

Wet down with soapy water and go at it with a big scraper. The water stops scratching and the adhesive simply drops to the floor once scraped.

I saw the output from the latex printers. It looked like some kind of waxy film was on the inks which everyone denied. I'm installing my third Roland this week. Outgassing? We laminate half an hour out of the printers and haven't had a failure yet.

I have one I hardly use too. Some of the ink and heads are a couple of years out of date but still print fine. The black stopped firing the other day so I sat it on a wet sponge for a while and it came back to life. The only problem with out of date heads is the warranty expires.

Photoshop then view at print size. I only tried resampling in Onyx once and it was way slower than PS.

What you are seeing is colour management doing it's job. The ICC profiles are converting the file input values to what they "should" be. Unless you have custom profiles for your media things will probably look off. Of course you can always use the colour replacement tool to alter the...
