Another thing - we just bought a Roland and had issues with grainy prints but now it's fine.

I've just been offered one of these printers at a crazy price and wondered whether I should take it up.
I already have 2 Roland Soljet IIIs and an old HP5500.
Maybe the latex would be handy for sertain applications, such as printing wraps.
Also - do you get the edge curl on full colour...

If it's a digital print on the front go over it with grey back vinyl after telling him the back is unusable.

Before doing anything too hasty you can also try going through the tube changeover process as if you are switching to dye inks. I forget the buttons to press but it tells you to pull the heads and cleaners then tubes. No need to pull the tubes just...
I usually wait 20 minutes or so for the print to dry.
I found most lams give unpredicatable results when profiled so I just do unlaminated. Occasionally I do a quick and dirty profile if I have a grey image which a lam is giving a cast to.
We cut through the top side ally with the Excalibur then let it drop and snap up.
This leaves a fairly clean edge though we usually run a file over it so nobody cuts themselves on it.
For large orders our supplier will deliver pre cut.
