I have an SP540 & a GS6000; much quicker & EXCELLENT print quality at the faster speed. The SP540 can print quality; but it's SLOW. I like the ability to print wider also.
I just talked to a local social media promoter & that additional info is IMPORTANT:
Just taking the end user to the intended website is not all there is to this QR business... The whole goal is to get more info to the customer, but since the whole concept of social media is new to most people...
IIRC there may be special requirements for aircraft graphics specified by the FAA or whoever... If regular vinyl works I would recommend some "really aggressive" adhesive vinyl.
These work, but you have to get a permit. Most sign companies don't want those nuisance pigeons pooping on customers' newly finished graphics job. http://www.gemplers.com/product/RABB/Bird-Bangers-15mm-blank-launchers-100-box-ATF-PERMIT-REQUIRED
Oh, we were talking about turkeys at your house...
We have an EdgeFX & I are planning on using it to print graphics for a local pizza joint. The rooftop cans are a translucent white material, so I was going to Edge onto 3M Imagecast Clear.
My question is - for the best colors, do I use the "trans red" or regular "red" for backlit applications...
Everything seems to print excellent when printing through colorburst for me... EPS, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, ETC.
Could your JPEGs possibly be in CMYK, or too high of a bit-color format? That's my only thought.
I share your frustration with this setup. Also running GS6000 & Graphtec (no-reg-mark-findin) plotter. I gave up on it & register it manually now; PITA. Even then after a couple plots I have to re-register & fix feed before continuing. Support also sucks through our supplier; quoted me $500+...
Buy the "Car-n-truck Pro Vehicle Outlines for a couple hundred & be done with it. Saves hours of work weekly even on small decal jobs. Customers don't have to bring a truck by to be measured. All work can be ready when they arrive one-time for installation.
I made templates for years; it sucked.
I am using Omega 2.51 and have my 3M & Gerber vinyl & foil pallettes loaded, which makes it a snap to know what vinyls/foils are required for a job when it comes back up again.
The problem I have is, we also use other manufacturers vinyl (Avery, Oracal, etc) on some jobs, but I have to tell...
dies themselves are relatively cheap ($25-$40 usually) themselves, however what you are pressing the die with can get pricey & you have to make a mount for the dies for this machine also to accept the dies from your manufacturer. We used a press in the body shop with a die with a custom mount at...
Car-n-Truck Pro Vehicle Outlines has E350; 450 should be the same besides suspension...
Now if you're talking about a custom cut-away vehicle (like an ambulance, box truck, etc) then every manufacturer is different. You may have to make your own template using parts of multiple templates from...
I saw a local ad for a cheap plotter, but didn't know if it would be useful for anything or the quality of its prints. It is a CalComp TecJet 5500, bought from an auction from a blueprint shop. truns on with no error messages but owner has no software to drive it. He is asking $100 for it.
Is...
I really sprayed the dust out of it with compressed air canisters & it seemed to do the trick. Couldn't see the sensor mentioned, but must have cleaned it off, as it's back to being happy now! Thanks guys! :U Rock:
