  1. Workflow Question?

I believe that my workflow is not efficient & possibly you guys could help me. Maybe there's a piece of software that I'm not using to its fullest potential or another software that would simplify things... Hardware: Epson GS6000 (Printer only) Graphtec FC7000 (plotter only) Gerber EdgeFX...
  2. Graphtec FC7000 Assistance Needed

I recently transferred to this location & we have a FC7000. I have never operated one before this (we had a Roland) & really don't know where to start as far as calibration, etc. Our dealer quoted me an astronomical number just to come "look at it". Is there anyone in the Cincinnati/NKY...
  3. A Serious Article from Cracked.com?

That one had me rolling too!
  4. Digital Printer for Posters?

Where are you at in Ohio? We can provide poster prints for you at a good price if you're near SW ohio. For a small volume like you posted, I can't see how the investment would be worth your while.
  5. Ford Transit Connect (the new baby sprinter)

The "Pro Vehicle Outlines" package has a great template in it. I just stuck 5 of them last week for a wheelchair transport company. That license plate recess is DEEP! These were modified to have a folding wheelchair ramp in the back.
  6. New Client Nightmare Job

I am assuming this is a wide banner is why everything is on one line? Otherwise it's too short vertically, and choose a different typeface if possible; there are many similar but much more visually appealing. I have no idea what this place does from its logo, the "botique", bows, hearts and...
  7. A Serious Article from Cracked.com?

Here is a great ad on my local craigslist for a "sign shop" at the local flea market. He can't even spell words (even the street address) correctly in his ad - so they must produce some high-quality products! I mean - check out that sample image! http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bfs/2140166739.html
  8. Ideas for new tools.

I use one called a "zippy" from Hobby Lobby all the time. it has a replaceable/adjustable blade. I think Fellers even sells them now...

  10. how to expand my eps file for cutting?

I'm not sure how well this wold work as cut vinyl either, and retain their brand integrity. I would assume that the customer would like to have the gradients in the lettering and flames. Red/blue/orange cut vinyl would look horrid. Someone needs to either provide vectorized artwork or you...
  11. Wrapping bad surfaces....

paint it if you have the facility, it appears you don't since you are asking what kind of paint to use. Call a local painting company & get a quote if you want to provide an option to the customer (possibly see if the painter will get you a broker price and quote it to the customer at a higher...
  12. Best Computer to use for Work Station

I couldn't funtion without running 10 programs at once, the minimum I have open at any time is at least 6 or 7. Can't see how it'd be efficient to close one to open another all day long.... that would cost you money in the time wasted waiting on the software/large files to close/load every time.
  13. System Error 32

    halp still requested!
  14. Best Computer to use for Work Station

For a workstation, go custom-built, no off-the-shelvers will do (or hit close on price if they would do). Find a buddy or relative that knows computers & how to build em. Take him to the local PC store & have him build a dream machine for you. My new home PC has the fastest AMD available &...
  15. System Error 32

it does, but gets the homing error before completing homing.
  16. Another Logo "Ripoff" controversy

Either way, it's much better than the last olympic logo... I say they stole the idea, tweaked it & rolled with it. Someone probably mentioned they liked its style to one of the designers & the committee chose it. For legality purposes I'd say it's fine, but ethically & from originality it's...
  17. To www or not to www...

It depends on where the website is hosted as far as needing the www or not, it's a protocol. Some sites have other prefixes like mail.website.com along with www.website.com etc & tells the server/browser where to go. Most hosting companies have it set up by default now to create both entries in...
  18. I Dare You

I didn't even have to press print, I just took the paper back out of the paper tray and it was already on there! Is this post about leaving empty/white space?
  19. System Error 32

I am receiving the followign error when attempting to "home" my Gerber enVision: System Error:32 X Axis Home Error However, the machine is still (for now?) cutting just fine, just not wanting to go home...?
  20. sheet cut

I believe that your blade carriage isn't going all the way over to the far left end and hitting the spot where it bumps the carriage to drop the blade. In service mode there is a function to set up the sheet cut. I can't remember where it is or how to get to it, but I had to do it about a...
