This customer is in the oil business. They are a distributor of a major oil brand and want me to make decals that go out to the tanks on customers lots for identification. I can put a laminate on the decals but oil resistant? I suppose.
I told them they have to clean off the areas before...
well tomorrows my B-Day so I will start the day with a dog walk at 6am...... yea I know I'm 53 and cant sleep. I am old. I will then tinker around the backyard and then have breakfast and then cut the grass. Pretty boring so far eh? I will then head out to the driving range and hit a few...
I agree but I have also found the odd time that while demasking that you can actually lose information and the way that flexi works you cant even tell. What I mean is that when I hit unmask I then get a black box that covers everything in the graphic area and even if I work in wire frame the box...
I find the odd file sent to me and its like opening a russian egg. Mask after mask after mask. What is the purpose of a file with multiple masks? I can sit for who knows how long trying to break it down...is it really necessary or is there a simpler way to deal with them?
What can cause that fade out or modelled look when printing spot colours? Is it to much heat? or ink starvation? If it is ink starvation how does one remedy this situation. I dont get it all the time Ijust dont know wen it will happen or what causes it. I see it a lot on banners but yesterday...
That efin bird!!! I came in saturday to pick up some tools to do work at home and again opened the door fully and there he was way up high and would not fly down, so I left a bowl of water out and some bread crusts to get him through the weekend. Get a call Saturday night...my alarm has gone...
yup, as much as I love digital printing I also deplore it. I feel so out of control over what happens to finished work.
So I get a call yesterday from a very good customer and they need a rush retractable for their client today by days end to be shipped. I agreed but knew this is not good...
you can use liquids to put laminate down but you can get that mucky look in dark colours which will go away but could take a week or longer, plus you have to be careful that the liquids dont go underneath the print soaking the backing paper.
I use the BS and the silvering I get does go away...
Sounds like a good idea?
NOT
I purchased 2 retractable cheapie banner stands and when I picked them up the lady at shipping gives me 2 rolls of some kind of banner material.
I can't figure out what they are thinking here unless it is for people who cut vinyl only. I cant print on a banner...
OK I guess I should just say...I dont want to do it cause I gonna be the guy who has to do it. lol
I have the vinyl zapper, I have a steamer and torches but I have seen metalic films basically dintegrate over time and break into tiny pieces. 5feet by 7 foot pure gold logo x2 on rivets will...
I did the truck about 4 or 5 years ago and now he wants it stripped before it goes back to the dealership. I am not opposed to normally doing this but his logo is a 60" x 72" pure 2ml metalic gold square with a small knockout of lettering over rivets.
On a good day 2 ml vinyl can be a beatch...
I havea few like that but really I cant complain as they are good customers. We just clean up after them and include it in the invoice somewhere hehehe
but when it comes to stink, there are some people who have never heard of underarm deoderant or bathing that have shown up. They leave and te...
No big deal I guess, but I ordered 60 pieces of coro 36" x 48" and the company I order from will not take a verbal order on cut jobs ( I agree) and they send me an email to sign off on. I do and the stuff is delivered. They bring it on a skid with tie wraps on it to begin with which basically...
